Cascade Cobras Summer Cruise Please Sign In

O.K. got back from Colorado on Saturday and spent Sunday recovering from the trip back. Last leg was Rock Springs Wy. to PDX. 915 Mi. 13 1/2 hours.
Now on to the Summer Cruise.
I'd really like to get a count on how many folks will be going so I can make appropriate plans for the logistics.
In a nut shell we'll be going from PDX to Pendleton on the first day, Pendleton to Baker City on the Second and Baker City back into PDX on the third.
I'm hoping that anyone planning on going has made their reservations already. If you haven't check previous post for the lodging.
Friday lunch will be at a restaurant, Saturday lunch will be picnic style and Sunday will be a sit down again. Both hotels have restaurants so I'm planning on using them. Anyone who wants to explore the local cuisine in either Pendleton or Baker City feel free to do so. If anyone has a recommendation for restaurants in either town let me know and I can look into it.
Looking forward to a dry if warm fun couple of days.

Dave:
Tell Mary Lee that we'll be going through some really pretty country plus we'll be stopping every couple of hours or less so folks don't get too sore. We want this to be as much of a pleasure trip as possible for the passengers as well.

Myself plus one will be joining the whole meal deal. Now the wife and daughter need to argue which one will go. Reservations are all confirmed. Looking forward to this. It will be a blast as usual that I am sure of. Thanks for doing this again Don. See everyone soon.

Thanks to Mike Hom we qualify for a group rate in Baker City. I've given them a list of names for those who've said they'd be making the cruise.
Anyone else joining in please ask for the Cascade Cobra Group Rate when making your reservations at the Sunridge Inn in Baker City.
They have the following names:
Dave Miller
Butch Bucklein
James Boscole
Mike Holm
Matt Brown
Chris Mann
If there's anyone else who has already made reservations please let me know so I can get you added to the list.
NOTE: To get the group rate you have to make your reservation by phone. They can't do it with an internet reservation.

It's kind of like my pictures of the group. You never see me but my presence can be detected by the slight variations in the planet's magnetic field.
I do have the date marked on my calendar though so I'll remember to be there.

There is a secret. You have to be one of the special inner circle to have that information. Obviously your aren't so I can't say any more );-) Quite often a generous donation to the DonC Independent Retirement and Benevolent Fund can accelerate your acceptance into the circle.

Cash in small, unmarked and non-sequential bills is acceptable. Have your people meet my people behind the Home Depot in OC at 3:30 A.M. Wed. and they can make the exchange. One person per car and flash the headlights twice when you see my people pull in. Your people should be naked so my people will know there aren't any hidden mikes or cameras and no other "funny business" going on.

Sounds like a great idea. If I hadn't already done my long run already in CO I'd be seriously considering the same thing. We're going to be a third of the way there already so why not go for it.

Wow this is going to be a great trip. After Baker City my trip continues on. I just made my room reservations to join the Utah Cobra Club. Myself and Butch plan on meeting them on Tuesday night in Idaho Falls. Then head to Salmon Idaho on Wednesday and Hailey Idaho on Thursday. Then start heading home on Friday. Talked to someone from the Utah Club and they have 12 cars going not including any from our group. A few from California and Arizona. Who else feels like expanding their trip? The grass, garbage, dogs, cats and any other chores can wait. I am sure I will have plenty of time in the winter to take car of them. Well maybe not the cats and dogs but the wife will take care of them. Let the adventures begin. See everyone soon.

Sorry to miss the trip this year. We have made all of the others but I"m going racing in Spokane. It's a triple race weekend, Firday, Saturday, and Sunday provided the car will run that long. Too many things to do and not enough summer! Y'all have fun and be safe.
