Used tractors in Washington?

Hi guys,

I'm in the market for a good used tractor. This would be a smaller tractor with loader. Something around 20hp or less. Diesel 4x4 is required.

I'm looking for something the size of a Yanmar SC2400 with grass friendly tires.

Anyone know of a place where I can find good deals? I'm just starting to look.

Darren

Darren-I have two Kubota's and highly recommend em-both bought from Issaquah Honda/Kubota-my little BX 23 (owned 10 years)has the bucket/backhoe plus some extras and I work the snot out of it-acqually ripped the back hoe bucket apart in hardpan then had a HD bucket built plus a skid pan-I make money with this thing. also got a mini excavator that rarely gets used. start watching CL and maybe talk to Issaquah K-they'll let you play with their display models-these machines are tough and trouble free.I have seen used Kubota's over here for 3,000.00 but rare-the BX was 16,000 and o interest financing which is standard with Kubota-you'll love the machine!

I'd love to get a Kubota but unfortunatley, in my area of WA at least (not sure about other areas like Shelton or where you are in Brinnon), I can't find one for under $11k with a loader. I was looking at Yanmar's because they used to build John Deere tractors and are supposed to be somewhat of a bargain.

If I could find a Kubota for under $6k with a loader I'd be really happy.

if you keep looking I think that price is doable for a used Kubota-I have heard of a few with a back hoe but they go fast-I would talk to dealers in Issaquah/Shelton (stay away from Kitsap lawn and garden) and on your side of the pond-they can find occasional used units they take as trade-ins. if you carry any kind of weight on the front you will need weight on the rear or you'll be like a pogo stick-a box scraper-backhoe (6,000 new) brush mower something heavy on the back-these little tractors do have a bounce to them because of the short wheel base. I use the turf master tires-no grass damage and perfect for all surfaces-Yanmar is my 2nd choice-not so hot on jd-cadet-buy quality and they don't always need fixing

Ok, I'll keep looking. Having a heck of a time finding anything though... hopefully I'll get lucky.

Ended up spending $7,000 on a slightly used Kubota BX2230 with a loader, 54" mowing deck, ballast box, and rear blade. 540 hours on the engine.

Really happy with the find, most are in the $10,000 and up range for just the tractor with loader.
