Still trying to work up the motivation to get back into the electrical and plumbing. Hopefully will start that all again in a week or so.

Just ordered a sample can light for sloped ceilings. Found R38C compact high density insulation for use in 2x12 ceiling joists and will get back into electrical/plumbing now.

Jobs left:
1. Electrical wire
2. Lighting install
3. Electrical Inspection
4. Plumbing / Hydronic heating system
5. Plumbing inspection
6. Insulation
7. Build second story deck
8. Final inspection
9. Take a break and do drywall next year

When do I finish the Cobra?

Oh wait, that's when I finish mine... But I'll look great cruising around the FL panhandle in it.

That list is oddly nearly identical to mine minus the basement, driveway, and beach condo.

Just had to renew the permit for the 4th time. Soooooo many other things going on. I'm still working on electrical, stumped on how I'm going to do the cathedral lighting upstairs. Not happy with the fixed pitch or adjustable pitch cans.

I'm probably going to hire the plumbing out, I need a break and that will help quite a bit. After that I have to build the deck and get the insulation in. Hopefully I can get final sign off after that and do drywall at my leisure.

I spent most weekends camping or fishing this summer. This winter I'll have to catch up.

I need motivation!

If you like to drink while you work (not the best idea but it seems popular on home projects) put a beer every X distance. You can't stop for a break or open one until you've reached it. Beer is probably the most motivating drink but you could do with with anything really, be it ice tea or soda.

Oh I definitely like to drink... just not when operating nail guns and hanging off of ladders etc. I'll get over the hump soon enough. The problem is I now have a new bass boat project too! I'm out in the garage today repairing small gel coat chips. I am too easily distracted

Why not ditch the cans and go with hanging or track lighting? There are some cool looking options there and with the cathedral ceiling, you should have plenty of room.

Also, I'm looking forward to testing your boats liquid refreshment storage capacity.

It has a built in cooler in the floor. Should hold a half rack

Wow, it has been a while. I can't believe I started this thing in 2009. I got side tracked with work and have really procrastinated completing the shop. Well, I've been back at it and fully dedicated to finishing it up. I have since completed plumbing, electrical, and drywall. I'll be installing outlets and lights in the shop this weekend and will move to the studio above to prep for texture and paint. I'm ordering the deck materials soon and then will get the final inspection and sign off. You wouldn't believe the $$$ I've spent in permit renewals. Could have painted the Cobra a couple times but hey... I was buying time

Please excuse the mess! I have no place to put all the crap!
