I bought my current FFR in late 2004 and finished it in November of 2005. It was not the smartest thing to register it in 2005, waiting another 2 months would have made a difference.
When I ordered the kit the only option available was the J pipe and/or cats. I have the cats so passing AirCare is possible. For my new engine I speced an aftermarket ECU with a switch so I can move from one set of maps to the other. My plan is to have one set up specifically to pass AirCare.
A friend who runs a speed shop dedicated to European and Japanese cars feels the changes are going to negatively impact his business.
