H-Pipes removal - stumped
Need advice on removal of the H-pipes from the headers on my SOHC 4.6L.
These bolts are a pain to reach. Even worst on the passager's side.
So what's the trick? The rods are threaded on the headers, so I'm concerned with cutting them and having a pain to get them out of the headers, but on the other hand I'm not sure I can reuse them for the J-pipes.
Right now the car is on stands, I'm not equipped to raise the car all that much. Is there more room reaching the bolts from the tranny outwards?
Can I pull the engine with the H-pipes still attached? (looks like they are much longer then the tranny: will all of this come out?)
When I go an put my j-pipes on the roadster, does the kit come with new bolts? (haven't had the courage to dig through the boxes just for those bolts)
