Far North-East Illinois – Looking for a Cobra Mechanic

So I’m a total rookie to both classic cars and the Cobra Kits.
I recently purchased a built Factory Five Roadster, it’s got a few mechanical issues and I’m looking for somewhere to take my car in for service. I’d like to go to a high quality shop familiar with collector cars. Any suggestions?

You might check with Buddy Neely and Reed Chester. They have a shop in Gurnee and are know the Cobra's inside and out.

FFR Roadster Mechanic

Your man north of the border is Jim Wardon. He is a true mechanical genius. He is building mine, and knows the FFR inside and out. He has been a mechanic on countless collectible classics and is a walking encyclopedia of motor history.

He is in Waterford, WI less than 30 miles from the I-94 IL-WI border.

His number is 414-254-9750

Tell him Andy Drefahl referred you.

You may also want to check with Marv Zuidema at C&M Performance in Hubertus, WI (about 20 minutes northwest of Milwaukee). He's a former Ford Master Tech and now has his own shop specializing in track-ready Mustangs, but he does work on the occasional FFR spec car.

Tell him Chris (former owner of Bondurant 74) mentioned his name if you need a referral to get in as he gets pretty busy this time of year with the track-season starting.
