Anyone near Volo IL (north of Chicago) that would like to check out a car for me?

I'm looking at a Christmas/Birthday present for my wife

Volo Auto Museum:: 1964 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE - Used Inventory

Car is at Volo auto museum on Volo village rd.

I'm looking for a driver quality car

Someone with mustang knowledge would be awesome, and I'd be willing to compensate you for your time.

What kind of info are you looking for? Matching numbers or just an overall quallity check?
I can shoot up and take some very detailed pics and HD video if you want.

Terry, I'm looking for a driver quality car for a Christmas present. I'm most concerned with hidden rot/rust.

I spoke with someone at Volo today and he was going to get the car up on a lift and take some photos. If those look good, I may ask if you'll just take a quick look to make sure it's as they say in person....

That said, I'm looking at a couple cars that are semi local too

I'm local to Volo and would be happy to take a look at it. I've done ground-up restorations on '65 / '66 Mustangs, so I'm a bit familiar with them.

PM me if you'd like me to stop by the museum.

Here are a few photos of the last one I did:

Thanks Chris... The car I was looking at sold pretty quickly. So I'm still on the hunt, but thank-you.

Your car looks great, much nicer than I'm looking for. I'm looking for a driver quality car for my wife. If it doesn't make it under the tree for Christmas, her 40th is in January so it gives me an extra month to shop

Sounds good - I'm always willing to check one out if you find one in this area. I spent close to a year not too long ago looking for a '67 Camaro convertible for my wife and drove all over until I found one just right - keep at it and you'll find the perfect one for her.
