I am in Rockford and a member of the Windy City Cobra Club (WCCC). Great group and several FFR's. Went to Bryon Drags yesterday, but I went to only watch. Some 80 plus members and over 20 different brands of Cobra's. Check out Club Cobra WCCC forum for details.
I live in the sprawling Metropolis of Minooka. 13 miles west of Joliet, 6 miles west of I-80 and I-55 interchange.
Status of build:
I bought mine (MKII 4935) completed from a Navy F-18 pilot in Corpus Christi TX, in 2006. Since then I have upgraded a few thing including disc brakes, manual steering rack, and ~150 hp worth of engine upgrades. I try only to drive it during the nice weather, and work on it in the winter.
All you guys in the midst of your builds, keep it up. You can't believe the head turner that this thing is!
Wayne

Hi All,
I also live in Minooka like Snakefan. I purchased my MKII kit from a guy in Michigan (he hadn't started assembly yet). I bought it in November 2007. I have been accumulating parts since then. I have an 89 gt donor. Now I just need the time. Hope to see you on the road in the future!
See they are all over....
Doug the donor took me 4 days to strip 2 weekends.
i feel that was my biggest obstacle to get me started.
if you need a hand stripping it let me know...
keep coming out of the woodwork guys..
i think there are now 5 within 30 minutes of me, not including my own...
Plus Gess motorsports is about 30 minutes away too..
Its a smaller world than i thought.
i figured in the south suburbs there would be 2 maybe..
well the shops a mess but a crusie to wilmington on a sunny day would be nice.
we could grab a bite in town if ya wanted and then cruise back.
PM sometime well try and meet up
i dont own a bike(lots of friends and family do), i just never felt like spending alot of time on something with only 2 wheels
Take Karl and eat at the Launching Pad. Let me know when and I will try to make it. (self invite here) Dan Actually we should make it an event.

We set up the event and will be their for sure with my non-spec challenge car.
