Stang88TN (Lynn) called me yesterday and ask what I was doing. I said "nuttin" so we drove the Dragon. Great ride with fall colors and all. Holley DP was great! Pulled most of the curves in 3rd and she powered through from the lower rpm's with no stumbles, silky smooth.

Lynn and I took some video with his GoPro that I hope he posts soon. I was shooting him and noticed the GoPro went missing. Found it in the floor of my car. I have to stop waxing her so much

Greg the video didn't turn out so good, very shaky. It was a good drive that has to be the first time I felt like we were the only one's that were there.

Coming back down from Deals Gap we flew in what seemed like 1/2 the time it took to get up and never followed a single vehicle. There was a super bike ragging me but he never passed.

A "clean" run is a thing of beauty. What is better is to do that on what could be the last perfect weather day for a while. Glad you made it out.

Glad to hear you got to go again, and especially with such good weather & smooth sailing!

We still had a blast on the 20th, but in all the many years I've run it, it was the first time I'd ever encountered such rubber-neckers oblivious to pulling off to let the massive backup of cars behind them pass. You expect that on the Cherohala, but I guess I've just always been fortunate on the Dragon. Traffic wasn't really even that heavy...

In any event, I hate I missed seeing you guys this year.

I plan to make another Dragon run this Sat with 2 non Cobra guys, weather permitting. Anyone want to join us? I'm thinking leave Knoxville around 10-11AM.

Another local option could be the "Triangle" out of Petros turning off hwy 63 (which goes to Wartburg). I'm not sure of the route but one of the guys going likes it and it's not crazy like the Dragon.

We have options
