Saturday morning at 08:30 at the Mooresville Steak & Shake. Some chance of precipitation as of right now, so we'll just keep an eye to the skies and play it by ear as we get closer!
The week slipped up on me, but I think I've gotten in touch with most of the "regulars" individually. Yes, we're still on for the monthly breakfast tomorrow morning at the Mooresville Steak & Shake at 8:30AM.
Turned out to be a beautiful morning yesterday for breakfast. As always, nice to welcome new faces (David & his son, with the black SPF) this month. Loved those Lucas headlights!
Steak & Shake breakfast in Mooresville at 8:30 of course Saturday morning. Cool start but beautiful day ahead - hope to see you there.
This Saturday is also Kannapolis Cruise In's last meet for the year. I haven't been to one yet this year, but with temps getting into the high 60s it's going to be great.
And they're hoping that the Christmas lights will already be up in the trees. If you haven't been with a group of cobras in November: there's nothing like a pack of them rumbling in between those buildings, and ultimately seeing the cars shine under those lights.
Let me know if you're interested and we'll organize a time, meeting place and maybe even dinner afterward if there's interest.
Just realized that in all the fun last month, I didn't take a single photo. Great breakfast, Jay had a really fun run at the Speedway roadcourse after, and thanks to Bruce from Kernersville for driving down at dinner to enjoy the Kannapolis Cruise-In with us. Good to meet you Bruce, and you definitely have a real "red beauty" there.
Breakfast is on for this Saturday, 8:30am at the Steak & Shake. Hope to see you there!
Weather forecast looks to be awesome for Saturday! 8:30am at the Mooresville Steak & Shake - come on out and join us.
Also, you've probably already seen it but just in case not: Tony (tbstangs) is getting together a ride Saturday as well, staging somewhere around Hickory. If a group wants to plan on convoying that way after breakfast let me or him know so we can keep him posted as he fine-tunes the time, route, etc. CORRECTION: sorry, misread it - the RIDE is Sunday; thread's still here: NC Mountain Run
Hope to see you this weekend for a freakish January break in the weather!
Larry

Thanks for catching that Bob. Sorry Tony - I'll update the other postings and start re-tracing folks I've emailed... (and learn how to read sometime soon).
I think as the weather improves that we should consider this place so that we can sit outside with a nice view of the lake. http://www.grillessportscafelkn.com/ It's about 5 minutes farther west on Rte 150.

Larry, Thanx for the plug for Sat. I mean Sunday Ya'll come on up Sunday. Should have roadsters and a few Mustangs about 8-10 cars so far. Weather is looking GREAT.
Is there such a thing as an advance schedule for Steak&Shake? I would like to attand but due to the distance I would have to schedule it with something else in that area and need lead time.
Thanks,
jack

Sorry for being so late this month. Mike had suggested last month that we might want to try "Grilles Sports Cafe", and after talking to the restaurant just now I'm pretty psyched about how much they'd like to welcome us (well, at least Mike & his wife... they definitely love you guys already).
It's only 5 minutes farther down Hwy150 West from Steak & Shake. Would everybody be game for that?
I didnt know about grilles, thats fine with me
I let the people know that are coming with me.
if any one sees cars at SS stop and let them know we are moving.
Address is
Grilles Sports Cafe
167 Pinnacle Ln, Mooresville, NC
Just keep going west on Rte 150 (River Highway) past SnS about 4 miles. If you go over the lake you've gone too far. Look for the signs on the right hand side. Officially they don't open until 9am but Kammy is always there much earlier and will open up if she hears the cars.

Yes, she said 8:30 was no problem at all. She did ask about a rough head count, so as I hear back from the forum here and my email blast tomorrow I'll call her back with a little better idea.
Here's a road snapshot of the intersection if that helps, credit google maps:
(you'll turn right)
Personal property tax is not such a big deal unless when you transfer the title to NC they think you have a real one which has happened to some people Each county is different and gets a percentage of the appraised value of the car which varies from about .25% to 1% depending on where you live. When you transfer your title you will need to go the the DMV vehicle theft office to have them check the VIN etc on the car. If you are lucky they will put a low value on the car and you will pay very little. I forget what I paid last year for registration and personal property tax but it was well under $100 a year.

Started a new thread for these breakfasts since we've changed locations (and may or may not experiment around with additional other restaurants as well in the future):
