Well, I picked a bad night to start...Steve and Tim were both out of town, and I never reached Harry or Greg. But Charlie and Sandi showed up and we enjoyed a malt, some onion rings, and Charlie and Sandi had a couple of mile-long hot dogs. Met a nice couple driving a drop-top 66 Mustang. Turns out her Dad bought her the car new when she was in high school. A nice evening.
We'll try it again next Friday - but might move the time back to 7:00 pm. It was still a bit hot @ 6pm and we had to keep moving from table -to- table to dodge the sun...
How bout it guys?

I just returned from the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN area...Absolutely beautiful, and it's obvious you guys gotta it ALL goin' on back there! Clingman's Dome, Cades Cove, and spent some time motoring around Lake Douglas...and yes, we even did Dollywood (Wild Eagle was pretty cool!).....Hopefully will have a chance to get back that way with the Cobra and catch up with you guys!!! Lucky Dawgs you are to live in such a nice place!! (Being able to buy fireworks and launch them at home rocked too!!....None of that out here in CA!!)

Karen, I can't believe you were in our neighborhood and didn't even call. That's my home turf and hopefully by the time I get the coupe done I'll be able to come up for a visit.

Karen: definitely let us know the next time you're in the area and will make a point to gather the crowd...
Greg: Well, I don't know. Some of us are just fortunate, I guess. Some people grow figs ( ) and some folks have streets named after them... I think 7 will work better than 6. Still too hot and too much sun @ 6. Plenty of parking. No problem at all. I tried to call your cell phone, but I guess you must have changed your number?

WOW,
We had a celebrity in town and missed it. Glad you had a great time in the Smokies Karen. You are welcome to return to God's country any time you like. Not only do we have fireworks available, but we even have a legal moonshine still in Gatlinburg (and some illegal ones tucked up farther in the mountains ). Sherrell, looks like the weather might cooperate with us on Friday. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Thanks Steve, Mike, Tim and Sherrell!! We actually found the folks in Tennessee to be some of the friendliest people we've ever met......Arrived on Sunday, and made an immediate trip up to Gatlinburg.....They weren't serving moonshine in the Cherokee Grill, but I heard the stills were fired up out there in the woods.
I'll give a shout out when we're heading back your way, as I'd really enjoy catching up with you guys! Be sure to post lots of pics from your Friday night gathering.
Karen
PS....Hmmm...Maybe it's time for a big Factory Five gathering in your neck of the woods...I'm in!
