Well several years after Shep gave me a brand new set of Koni shocks that he won at the Moochfest raffle....I finally got them on the car and everything went in fine. But man trying to hold onto the threaded part while you are spinning the collar down to adjust ride height was something else. Took her out for a ride and it does actually feel pretty good along with the new, softer tires, it rides much nicer. Seemed to handle the bumpy roads without twitching around like it used to.
BTW I also learned that when the ride height is 4" and you want it 4.5" that you don't move the collar down .5". Cause that makes it change by an inch...Had to take the tires off about 3 times to get it to 4.5"s. Live and learn....
Ready for some Autumn riding now......

Riding in the fall in NE is the best. Did you have the Bil's before the Koni's?

Glad to hear it Paul. You came close to an issue with the old lower arms. There is the "classic" missing powdercoat spot on both where the spring hat had hit the arm. After I broke my first set of Proshocks, I put 1/2" spacers on the shock shaft to avoid this, so they still work for me . And you can change the spring adjustment with the tires on, you just need an 8 year old grandson as a third arm

Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement.
Gave her a good 150 mile drive yesterday. Up around the Kanc to Loon MT for the Highland Games, down 93 and back to Moultonborough. Ran great as always. Got home just as the sun was going down. Great day in the Roadster....... I am probably going to take the camera up the Kanc again next week, depending on weather and do the trip again. Maybe October 6th?
Should be good color by then in the Mountains.

I noted that you have an address in Moultonboro and wonder if you keep the Cobra there during the summer. We live in RI, but have a place in Glen, and get up with the Mark I from time to time. Met up with the Green Mountain Cobras two weeks ago on their annual cruise to Mr. Washington Valley. Perhaps we can meet next season ---- mine goes to bed at the end of October.

My car is usually at my house most of the Summer. I have a condo garage in Gilford, NH and that is where I let her sleep for the off season. Usually around the end of October like yours.
Here is a garage condo for sale next to mine if you have the cash.....
Thanks for the tip, but it is a little rich for my blood. I have garage space at my place in RI, but not in Glen. It is a good idea, though.
Perhaps we can do a cruise nest season. Look for you then!
Dave
