Why? do you think slamming that wall at New Hampshire may have thrown you off some?
Good to see all you guys yesterday especially good to see the look on JohnT's face after riding with me.Thoug It helped take a couple of seconds off your next run.
Hopefully we'll get some good turn outs next year

IT WAS A HELL OF A RIDE, thank you.....
It did help me drop some time , helped remind me of a couple key things.
I am very happy with yesterdays results.
13 seconds improvements.
Count me in for next year, this was a tough summer.
I earned that shirt my friend.
It was a great time, had tons of fun.
I have a fun time getting together with you guys.
You guys make the event.
Just as a FYI I also beat Pat in the Daytona.
you need to have this for bragging rights. BTW pats times were much better than yours he just likes cones.

Enjoy it while you can....
I was ganing on you remember that, a couple more runs I think I would have been very close to you VERY CLOSE......
Your time on top is limited!!!!
Sorry but the runs must be clean to count you know that....
My son Andrew and I left the house at 1:15. Temp was 26 when I got up. We got our leaf peeping done in Harvard before arriving with almost frozen faces at the McDonalds at the Ayer circle. They had a nice handwarmer in the bathroom.
For those who were not there, Pat and company runs a great event and got 10 runs in. I ran with an instructor for the 1st and 3rd runs. Took Andrew on another two. After a couple of familliarization runs I got lost on one run and felt lost on another in the morning. In the afternoon Andrew was starting to look bored so I passed on having an instructor took him on all 5 runs.
My first run was about 103 seconds and best was just under 91. I rode with a pretty skilled driver in his modded M3 and he did a 73. It is unbelieveable how a car that large and heavy can corner that well - but they do.
Andrew rode along with John Stoukides in his FFR one and another time in an LS powered Miata.
Steve Gogolinski drove his nice white Saleen replica in the 83 second range. Very impressive!
John Fournier and Joao Trindade were also there tearing it up in their roadsters and consistently in the low 70's.
Bottom line is autocrossing is not as easy as it looks but it is a LOT of fun. Once you learn which cones you have to go around you have to figure out how to go around them.
I'm already looking forward to the next time. The Breeze roadster ran like a top all day. The good news is that I don't need to fix anything on the car to get faster - just the driver needs some work!
I know - no pictures, didn't happen - but we saw people with cameras there - does anyone have photos to post?

Mark, the first event is tough. My first time I think I went off course on almost every run. The best advise I have is go out with an experienced driver. Watch there lines, when they brake and mash the gas...
You will get faster with each event, another thing is don't be like me.
I have a couple of bad habits(on the track) that hurt my time.
One is I sometimes coast around a cone, instead of gas brake then gas.....
I askeed a question about your pump on the other post.

Don't feel bad Mark
The first few events I ever did I never thought I would figure it all out. I even messed up on the last part of the course on my 4th - 7th runs. I had John S ride with me once to correct my errors.
You never really figure it out and seat time always improves your times. Scruffy the guy in the GT3 who had FTD says he can do as many as 40 events a year. Those last few seconds can take hundreds of runs to shed off. But still regardless of how good you are it is one of the best times you can have for $50

These guys are correct.
It is not as easy as some of the guys make it look.
My first few events I DNF a number of runs.
Its not easy, getting use to the cones takes time.
The only way to get better is seat time...........
Gary Welcome back it was a some what shallow victory with you not there but a victory none the less. Though Frank b had a bad afternoon I still was able to match his times and actually was faster than Paul L so I think I could have given you a run for your money. Especially if you Pax me 5 sec considering your race rubber

John S. I corded my race rubber 2 events ago, now back to the Kumhos. I don't think those "vintage" race tires were much better than the Kumhos anyway. So it will be a fair fight on the 27th. Gary
That would be Frank B he spun that fiero 6 times in 5 runs
I think I won the FFR spinout comp with 2 spins

I was telling Frank about this link Saturday and he told me that it was his stepson. Glad he put the link up. I was going to get the link from the Subaru site but forgot.
