Yep,
I doesn't matter what the weather is. We do it rain or shine, "Run what cha brung" style. The only bene to a parts chaser is that you don't have to yell at your navigator over the noise of the sidepipes.(oh and there's the radio, and the wipers work, oh and there is heat, not to mention the gas milage is better...........etc.)
Either way we should have a good time and be eating about 2pm under the pavillion.
They are calling for blue skys and temps in the upper 70's....ah NOT. Well maybe somewhere just not where we'll be. The local weather, mostly cloudy with a chance of a passing shower or two and 63 degrees. Thats why it's run what cha brung right.
Sean and I will be running the route one last time today and then it's time to GUMB-ALS!!!! We'll see ya'll in the AM.

Gumb-ALS Rally VI is in the books. Once again I'd like to thank everyone for coming out. While Sean, Roxanne and I may be the ones turning the wrenchs on this thing it you guys that are the driving force behind it. Without your support it just wouldnt happen. Im sure Sean will be signing in on this with the results...but we did have two repeat Forum members trophy today. Congratulation to them. I hope everyone had as good of a time on the Rally as we did, and hope to see you all next time. If you could'nt make this year don't worry we'll be back for Gumb-ALS Rally VII.
Oh yeah I almost forgot...

but first here is a pic of the elusive Gumb-ALS telephone pole. It was still there this evening.
And here are the final standings in which Das Equalizer played a factor and the tie breaker had to be used on both end of the grid. The good thing is we didn't loose anyone this year. More info to follow as we wrap things up. Thanks Guys!!!
While Grace and I did not achieve a win (Congrats Ron and Lena) , we had a lot of fun!!! And we finished this year
Jim and Sean, Thank you! I most enjoyed being able to bomb around the countryside acting like a kid with Gracie!! You guys (and family) put a lot of effort into this, and it made for a fantastic day!
And it was great to hang out with some of the finest people around!
What a great day! Ellie and I had an absolute blast (Ellie would have preferred it hadn't rained but, hey, a little rain in the Roadster is part of the fun). All the hard work that is put into this event shows and is much appreciated. I know I say this every year but, if you haven't done the GumbALS before, give it a try next year.... You will not be sorry. This my favorite event of the year. It is for a great cause.
Thanks for everything Sean and Jim.

Everyone, this is arguabley the most fun single day event we do all year, Sean, Jim and Roxanne do spectacular job putting it together and ensuring everyone is welcomed and have a good time.
I was really impressed with the turnout of cars on a sketchy day.
Thanks to everyone for a great day of fun with good people.
Winning is fun, but this is great event even of you come in dead last or DNF... Trusdt me, I have been theretoo!

Great time!
It was a blast! Thanks to Sean, Smitty and Roxanne for hosting. The run was done through all kinds of rural areas perfect for a Rally. Even with daily drivers it was a blast.
I plan on making this an annual event although I may have lost my awesome navigator since he will be taking his wife next year - the more the merrier!
Sean & Jim,
Thanks so much for putting on this event.
This was Catherine and my first time doing a rally. Definitely a lot of fun, although I still contest the "1 foot measurement".
We will definitely be back next year.
Again, thank you.
Ray and Catherine

Thank you Sean & Jim for once again puting together a great event. The level of detail that goes into the preparation and planning is well appreciated. Every year we have a wonderful time.

John F, you almost have a complete set of all trophies. Your extra 26 miles sealed the deal on this one. As for the "telephone pole" it was placed in someone's front lawn with their permission. I told them there would be a lot of Cobras stopping for it.
Ray and Catherine, don't worry after a couple more Gumb-ALS rallies you'll agree with 1' rule on the trailer.
I really enjoyed all the new people that gave it a shot. We'll do it again the last Sat in Sept'13
