Question about valve adjustment on a 5.0 L HO

Hi Gord,I'm in the process of adjusting my valves and I'm using the Haynes manual.
They say to bleed the lifter before checking the clearance but I don't have the tool they recommend,it's a Ford P/N,is there any other way to bleed them or I need this tool or equivalent, any idea please,Thanks again !

What cam?
What rockers?
Pedestal mount or stud mount?

Sorry about that,it's a bone stock 1990 5.0L HO converted to 570 Holley carb.,Weiand intake.
It's pedestal set up with a bolt on the fulcrum, they say to torque that in a couple steps but I'm not sure what they mean. There is a first torque value and then a second and final.
I put the cyl. #1 at TDC compression stroke for now,I'm ready to go,how do i procede, that book got me confused, thanks Gord

As I was reading,I found that they say to tight the fulcrum bolt to a torque value after you install the rocker arm,no specific order,is that ok,thanks Gord !

On bone stock all you need to do is bolt them down and torque to spec. You can put them all on at ones and torque them down.

I will be doing that right now,I have the torque value and I hope the noise will be gone if they're still noisy could it be that I need new lifters, every internal parts on that engine were used, except for the new piston rings and main bearings, thanks Gordon, have a great day !
