find out what jets you have in the front and back. Then go up 2 numbers in the front and 2 in the back and try it.

Can I remove the float bowls and replace the jets with the carb installed or do I need to remove it?

I removed the jets. 570 street avenger 54 main jets and 65 secondaries. The engine is a fairly mild 302, maybe 300 hp. Do you think I should go 2 sizes from these jets?

I need to go up on jet size or carb? If jets, 2 sizes on each?

Maybe carb size but lets start with 56 in the primaries and 68's in the secondaries and see if that helps you top end.

I went from 54 to 57 (they didn't have 56's) on the primaries and from 65 to 68 on the secondaries. It is better but still far from being right. it starts missing before 5k but not so bad that it wont keep accelerating it just does it slower than it should, but it ran up to 5500 in second and it would have probably went farther. So it is better, but I think I need to go up farther on jet sizes. What do you think I should do? One more question. Why are the secondary jets so much larger than the primaries on a square bore carb?

Go to 62's and and 70's. Just up 2 steps at a time as long as it's getting better. I bet you will end up with 66 in the front and 74's in the back.

I have went up 2 at a time to 77 and 74 with no noticeable difference. do you think the secondaries could be opening to fast? they have the white (weakest) spring installed. I thought about going up 2 springs to the longer yellow one but thought I would get your opinion first.

There is something else going on that I can't put my finger on. Give me a call and we can run through everything and see if we can mail it down.
