First real crusin in Tuesday, great night!

Went to one of northern Ohio's larger more well know cruise in's the Tuesday evening. The theme was kit cars and orphan's (like Pinto's and Vega's etc) Were a number of beautiful high quality Cobras there from all kinds of makes, even one other F5 plus a number of other English and vintage kit cars going back to the mid 60's. Now mine is pretty basic, I even have 4 lug rims. But guess what, Summit Racing made the pick for the kit cars (The Cruise in club did the orphan car) and for some unknown reason I got picked. On top of that I also got an invite to an invitation only car show put on by the Northern Ohio Corvette show in July. I guess I am more attune to my cars flaws then I should be, but that comes from building it yourself and knowing those flaws as they are made. Also as a Summit Racing pick I get put in a drawing to have my car go on one of their 2 circular display turntables that are right on either side of the entrance to their Summit county store, about 20 minutes from me. Cool, but not betting on that one.

Yeah, me too! The are right inside the entrance on either side and they do slow turns all day long. Crusin' Solon is on of the larges car shows in the area with a typical night drawing 400+ cars and Summit racing is the main sponsor aside from the club that puts it on. And Summit Racing is no also ran little company and this is their corporate headquarters here in northern Ohio. The more I think about it the more I am humbled and the more I want whatever they were taking ;-) . Although I noted it as a pretty much basic donor build with some minor changes, overall the car looks great and my only wish is a second chance on the interior seating area upholstery. I did it first, by the time I got to the rear, I was doing pretty darn good but up front, eh, not so good but again, I know what I did wrong more then a casual observer.

Wow, well done! Mine is a mostly donor build too, so it's nice to see one of them do well. I did switch to the 5-lug though
