There are so many ways to layout the dash I just want to get a couple of ideas about how this looks. The headlight switch and dimmer controls will be on a sub-dash below and behind the ignition key. This kinda hides the pull switch or I may do a couple of toggles above the left AC vent. One other question is where to put the middle vent, to the left of the smaller gauges or right of the AC controls? In the lower part will be a JVC dual DIn radio mainly for a backup camera and GPS display. JVC has a couple of radios that sync with your iPhone and apps specifically for driving. Plus it will house a 12V power outlet and maybe a couple of headphone jacks.

I read the " regrets" made the decision to make the top of the dash removable. It's great now during assembly and could save your back down the road. Yours looks good !
Tim the only thing that would concern me would be when you are strapped in tight will you be able to reach those AC controls. Looks good though. If you want a sanity check you are welcome to strap yourself in mine and lay the dash in place
A removable dash top has been planned from the start. I have to get the seat situated and try the controls. With the Street Performers I should be able to reach. The cable that actuated the defrost gate is not very long and can only reach a little more than where I have it located. Guess its time to start drilling, covering and wiring soon. Ay thoughts on the middle vent?

Maybe mirror the one by the tach on the other side of the speedo. I've also seen people install them in the sides of the one you have the radio on
Both good ideas. I'll probably have to fab a new lower console so incorporating vents on either side shouldn't be too much more work. I've seen some narrow vents in a vertical orientation so finding those may go on the list.

I put one A/C outlet on each side of the dash and two in the lower center console. Doesn't leave much room in there when you get the hoses all hooked up.
What do you have on the sub dash panel? Is that some sort of touch screen radio or a navigation system?
JC
It's a JVC radio that will interface with iPhone. A couple of features are GPS and a screen for a backup camera. JVC KW-AV50
There is a Bluetooth version also but the audio portion is going to be about useless in the Coupe.
If I did vents in the sides I would mold ducting out of fiberglass and feed from the top. Either way I'm remaking a center console a little wider at top and a little deeper.

You might be surprised how well you can hear it. All I have is an Ipod hook up, an amp and 2 speakers in my roadster and it is way loader than the pipes if you turn it up.

Heres mine, all the business is the the right side of the steering wheel. Hated the stock locations, couldnt see the gauges behind the steering wheel. Small gauges have the Auto Meter angled gauge cups so the are turned toward me.
