So is it a Forum rule if you didn't take pictures (or post them) it didn't happen?
It's an unwritten rule.
No pics or vid it didn't happen.
At the same time if no one has pics or vids they can't prove I did it!

Well then I'm screwed. The only picture the forum has let me put up in the last few month's is my avitar photo. I just keep getting an error mesage.
I got my coupe licensed the last part of june and have about 1600 miles on it but no pic's.

No you didn't...
Seriously though, are you using a photobucket account to post your pictures? You need to.
Thursday, Sept 27th--Chaz, when you are adding photos to your text, notice the size requirements to upload photos. Most Windows applications will allow you to reduce the size of your photos by right clicking on the photo. A couple of clicks and you will meet the size restrictions with no problem. Paul
What is the procedure to follow to post pics? How many can you add per post? I have never been able to add a picture to my posts and I have a lot of interesting mods I've made along the way that I'ld like to share and I know everybody here enjoys photos. I need to have it explained step by step so I can follow through.
I'm pretty sure there are some threads on doing this already but I'll try to describe what I do.
I use Photobucket. They have removed the photo storage limits for free accounts and you can store up to 500 videos.
1) The first thing you need to do is have pictures transferred from the camera to the computer. I rename all mine with a date (usually the date I download the pictures and not the date I did the work...so not truly accurate). I catalogue them in folders describing the section of the car it is from.
2) You will need to open an account at Photobucket.com. Click on Sign Up. Enter the requested information and don't forget your login and password. You have the option of purchasing a package but just click the "no thanks" in the box. Click on "Upload Photos Now". From the window, access your computer photo folder and click on the picture you want to upload.
3) from this point on ...Once you have an account and login name and a password you will just need to
click on "Upload Photos". This will open a window from your computer for you to select the folder with your pictures in it.
4) They may ask you to name the "album" the photos are going into. You can categorize your pictures on photobucket by creating sub albums for the different stages of your car...I put all mine in one album so they are all sequential.
5)...Back to "Upload Pictures"....click it and from the window select the folder on your computer where the pictures you downloaded are stored. Select a picture you want to put in the photobucket account.
6) Click OK or Save in the window and the download will begin. You do not need to worry about size as photobucket resizes it according to their requirements. You can add a description or a name for your picture for the photobucket picture.
7) If you want to upload another picture, click Upload Photo again.
8) When you are done you go back to "Album". This should give you "thumbnail" type display of uploaded pictures. If you put your mouse on one of the pictures, a drop down menu should appear under the picture selected. Click on the IMG box and the reference name will be copied to your computer.
9) Open the Forum thread you want to post the picture in. Click on post reply like you always do. Right click mouse and click Paste. You won't see the picture but you will see the "IMG" code name. Type in whatever discussion you wish to add. Click "submit". The picture should appear in the post.
Posting pictures is easy once you do it once. They are always appreciated and can make it easier for members to understand what you may be describing.
You can copy and paste the link to your photobucket account in your signature so that all your pictures can be viewed by clicking on the link.
You can reorganize or delete your uploaded pictures at any time by going under "Albums" and then "Organize" or "edit photos".... Although as I said mine are all sequential in a single album.
I'll try to refine my description the next time I post a picture.
Good luck!
Ps... Other than when I tried selling my coupe (what was I thinking??) this is my longest post...sorry.
Marc

To answer another part of the question ... you can only use 4 pics per post, but you can do multiple posts, just hit the "Reply" button and you are in business for the next 4 pics.

Okay, I just wanted to make sure this never happened because I didn't take any photos....I drove my Coupe off the trailer...without the ramps extended. But it never really happened, right? Because there are no photos...right?
So I went to the CHP Certified Lamp and Brake inspector yesterday. Since the car is not registered and not really finished I didn't want to drive the car across town so I used a U-Haul trailer. Good trailers by the way. The inspection took longer than I expected so I was in a rush to get home, get the Coupe back in the garage, the trailer back to U-Haul and the Tahoe back to my wife who had an early afternoon appointment (she doesn't like driving the 5.0 6 spd Mustang). So I get home, unstrap car, block the trailer tires, raise the front end of the trailer to reduce the angle of the ramp (oh yeah, ramps) folded down the fender and hopped into the Coupe. Fired it up, released the brake and started coasting...slowly...backwards then BANG!!! Rolled the rear end of the Coupe right off the back of the trailer and dropped down on the frame...actually landed on the exhaust brackets. Rear wheels were hanging about a foot off the ground. Ended up jacking the car up from the rear and letting the air out of the trailer tires and was able to get the ramps...oh yeah, ramps...pulled out. Let the car down and rolled off the trailer with little fanfare.
I really lucked out, about all I did was bend the exhaust pipe bracket and nicked the under side of the body by the bracket. Can't see it unless you crawl under the car. It did not move the position of the pipes so I think I kind of dodged a bullet this time.
But, it didn't really happen because there aren't any photos...right?
That is an absolutely beautiful blue. Is that the code (DX)? NAPA will mix up a small spray can for one to try out and see if one likes it. So I just wanted to make sure what the paint code was and get them to mix up a can along with my other favorite color, the Lexus blue to compare. They only charge 9 or 10 bucks.
I did something similar to CJBergquist once when unloading the coupe, forgot to jack up the front of the trailer when unloading a few years ago and tore off the right exhaust system when the exhaust bracket caught on the edge of the trailer. Luckily the exhaust was just pushed onto the headers and wasn't damaged other than the bracket was bent to a fare thee well. I just heated it and straightened it (wasn't coated yet).
Sure felt like a moron.
By the way thanks Gary and Marc for the info on posting pics. I'll give it a try.

Reason: Adding another statement
Chris -
OUCH! So glad the Coupe seems to be fine. I really like your photo collection on your build - it is really helping me see and understand how this thing goes together.
So, uh, naw - that never really happened.......

Yeah, it was really stupid. I'm going to do the axle check tomorrow and will have the car up on jack stands so I can do a better inspection. It looks like the bracket just laid over and should be easy to straighten back into position.
To make you feel better...rumor has it that I lowered my lift with my wife's car too close to the ramps and they caught the front end of the hood. The crunch alerted me to this so I stopped lowering.
No pictures were taken so it may never have happened.
Never did figure out how the hood was crushed...hypothesized that it was a bad case of vandalism. Who would be so stupid as to lower a lift onto another car?

Here's something that also didn't happen. The house I used to live in had a 3 vehicle car port that was built by a maniac. 11 inch I-beams supported on 5 inch iron pipe anchored into the concrete. I'm sure it could survive a nuclear blast. I owned a Deutz tractor with a front end loader back then and had it up at the house moving some railroad ties for a retaining wall I was building.
Texas weather being what it is, it started raining. Not thinking things through, I decided to pull the tractor into the carport so the seat wouldn't get wet. The roll bar on the tractor slammed into the I-beam forcing the tractor into a wheelie and it popped right under effectively trapping the Deutz.
I had to borrow a large floor jack from a truck repair shop to get it out. The only damage - chipped paint on the roll bar and I-beam. But like I said, it didn't happen.

Got under the car today and bent both of the brackets back into place. Looks okay except for a couple chips that you can only see if you are under the car.
Soooo - we just won't look over there when you are all done...
