Event #9 win

My win on Sunday finally put me into the points lead after I missed 4 events early in the season due to the engine swap. I just need to win 2 of the 3 remaining to wrap up the 2012 championship.

It is taking me some time to get used to the amount of power and torque form the LS engine. I tend to point and shoot which is not the fastest way around the course. I am probably 10 -15 mph faster on longer straights than I was before so the braking points are much different. So far the car has won every event it has been entered in, unfortunately my co-driver beat me a couple of events ago when I coned away some good times.

Here is the only good run I recorded before the battery died:

Also here is a video of my co-driver's launch. Notice he hits the rev limiter before the 1st cone!

That looked fast. The LS1 is earning it's keep.

Neat video: My son shows up as my codriver for a few events each year and I drive like you do, point and shoot. He raced motocross for a number of years and keeps reminding me,you have two choices, fast in slow out or slow in fast out. When he is able to go to an Auto-x (due to his work schedule) I have only had a faster time in one event during 3 years, difference was .002. He is much smoother then I am and that's the key. I know I over drive the course but I can't keep from doing it as it is so much fun.
PS I think if the codriver is faster then you he needs to buy dinner on the way home, or maybe tires for next years season.
