There was just me and Richard Nyberg for a while, but I've heard there in now another Coupe in town. Not sure on colour or number. Richard's is dark blue, but can't remember if he has a number on it or not. Mine is black.

Funny...when someone says they saw me driving around I too always wonder if I was misbehaving when they saw me. I don't do it often but I'm only human.

Excellent-- that was yours, Richard. A friend visiting the west texted me a photo of your car (it attracted a crowd) - he wrote in his test -- " You should have bought one of these !"

Anyway, in the spirit of etiquette, i wanted to politely ask if i may be so bold as to post a pic of your car on my web page (with full acknowledgements, of course!)-- now that i know who owns it

Interesting, I once attempted to see some Coupes in Dallas, Texas when I was up there not too long ago but unfortunately due to a wedding and other commitments there wasn't enough time.

I'm going to be visiting friends up in Cochrane in October for a long weekend or possibly a week, could I be cheeky and ask if any of you local folk would mind allowing me to see your Coupe?

Curious about the picture. Post away. I will show the car anytime. Let me know when you are here. John is in cochrane as well.

If you don't mind sir I will do just that! Not EXACTLY sure when I will be in Cochrane but it'll be between the 13th and 21st of October for sure!

kiki's absolutely right to be groveling over Nyberg's build.

That is one of "our community's" proudest coupes! I'm just happy it got bumped up here again! You got fans Richard! I'm one of 'em!!

I am over in Greece at this time. I do have an album on this forum if you can access it. Took a thousand pictures during the build.

Hey Benji,
Sorry for the delay; I missed the subsequent responses in this post. Yeah, I live in Cochrane and you're most welcome to come over and see mine. Doesn't look like much at the moment, since the paint was just finished and I haven't reassembled everything yet. Hoping to get a lot of that done in the next few weeks. Too bad Richard is out of town - he is a master and his Coupe is awesome.

I'll be away on the weekend of the 13th, but other than that I'll be around. Once you know your dates, PM me and I'll send you my contact details.

Cheers,
John

Easy to find his album. Just got to Richards "public profile", by clicking on his name, on any of his posts. Then click on the "statistics" tab. It will then show a link to his album. Click on that, and away you go..

Car really does look fantastic..

Richard I didn't realize you modified your hood scoop. It looks a lot like ours.

This is a great build!

Ironically I was just going to update this thread today as I'll be flying into Calgary tomorrow where my friend will be picking me up.

I'm in Cochrane until next Sunday (the 14th) and my friends will be at work during the week so I appreciate the offer to have a look at yours!

I'm not sure what the best way to contact you will be but I'll have my laptop with me and will be able to check back here often.

Hey Benji,
I just sent you a PM with my number. Yup, I have to do that work-thing too, so we'll have to do it late afternoon or early evening, sometime Tues to Thurs. Let me know which works best for you.

Like I mentioned, it doesn't look that good at the moment, as it has just been painted, but I haven't got it reassembled yet. So no doors, wheels, lights, etc. Sheesh; I wanted to be at this stage 4 months ago!!

Talk soon,
John

Bare with me this is my first post. I just stumbled across this post and thought I was the only one in the Calgary area thinking of buying a coupe! Only trouble is I would like to sit in one before I buy. Richard and or John - would you be open to a quick visit and a chat?

Hi Matt,
Sure thing. A couple of issues though: 1) I'm out of town at the moment and will be back home next Friday, and 2) I'm still in the process of reassembling the car after the bodywork, so the seats are not back in yet. I probably won't have them back in for a couple of weeks yet. Nevertheless, you can swing by anyway, and then again once the seats are back in.

Cheers,
John

Hi John, much appreciated, thank you! Christmas is going to be busy so perhaps we can make it sometime in January?

Sounds good. PM me then. If we get lucky, maybe we'll get a Chinook.

Cheers,
