Which one did you use and how is it holding up. Leaning to powder coat but do they have it in satin or flat finish? Not sure I want shiny side exhaust. Thanks, John.
Jeff,
Just out of curiosity, what color did those pipes in the first photo use to be?
The satin black is beautiful. I wasn't aware ceramics are available in non-shiny finishes.

I'll be having mine ceramic coated a few miles away at Swain with their White Lightening exhaust coating. Pricey (should be less than $400) but if it keeps burns down it will be worth it.
I used the VHT paint and it holds up pretty well if you make sure you clean the pipes well with a degreaser and scotch pad. If you slip some light cardboard behind them you can touch them pretty easily without making a mess behind the pipes.
If you want it to last...just remember to not get them too hot initially. Ceramic can take on a dull look if subjected to high temps right away. Several moderate heat cycles (2-4 minutes) first, will help keep its original appearance.
Go with ceramic coating. When I built my Coupe I found a shop that offered a 3 year free recoating $500 initial cost. After 7 years I took them back because the coating near the cylinder heads had started to flake off. 1/2 price for a complete recoating, he said bring them back again if you want to it's still 1/2 price.
If you can find a shop like this go for it.

Ceramic - flat white - suggestion...pre fit and hang them prior to getting them painted/coated. I had to take mine to a muffler shop and get the pipes expanded about 3/16".
My builder had the originals reproduced in stainless AND had them coated. The coating guy thought he was nuts.
They re going to get nicked and a flat white can be touched up with high temp paint.
Would it be sto0pid to enamel the side pipes? The same way you would have a cast iron sink or tub enameled.

Closer to you is HTC Racing in Mass. I had mine done there. They came back with too light a coating and they graciously said to send back and they will recoat, they also pay UPS shipping. $375.95.
I used Rustoleum very high temp white, its a brighter white and seems to be a little harder than VHT. If you want shiny ceramic coating Nitroplate in Nashville TN used to do a deal for ffcars members than was really cheap. Only issue is shipping. There are multiple people in the Roadster section that have had Nitroplate do their pipes.
