I remember seeing a couple of nicely done coupes where they had what looked like a billet cover (or at least frame) to close panel openings with. Anyone out there have a source for these? I want to cover a battery opening and place another cover over the fuel tank fuel pump so if it goes out (and I've had at least 3 cars where they did) I won't need to remove the tank from the car. Thanks all, John.
I used the access covers from Jeg's. Summit also had them. They are made by Moroso. I used one on the footbox and over the fuel sending unit on the fuel cell. The part number at Jegs is 710-85700 for the Moroso door, about $45.00

then cut a new piece to cover and use rivet nuts to hold it down. then i plan on putting a false floor in made out of thin plywood and have that carpeted.
just not sure if i can get a good flange with this tool, anyone have an opinion on this?

I've never used this tool before so I can't comment on how well it works but the construction looks shoddy to my untrained eye. Is it just me or does that weld look sub-standard?

I have the Circle Track Supply door and while I like most aspects of it I do not like the Dzus fasteners that hold the door closed. You have to carry either a large screwdriver or a special Dzus tool to open the door. I couldn't do it with a coin.

What if the Dutz fasteners were replaced with something like this from West Marine (or similar hardware store):
All good suggestions. I tried to locate some latches JackLawrenceXXX (remember him?) recommended...butterfly camlocks...no luck...the ones I want need folding "wings".
Speaking of Jack, what happened to him??? He got that fake cop car and just dropped out of site.
Did you ever consider moving your battery to the front for easier access and better weight distribution? I think Breeze sells a kit to move the battery to the front which makes for much shorter leads from the battery to the starter. I've seen a number of posts that say the stock FFR battery cable is not large enough to carry the high amps required to start a hot motor. I built my own front battery mount but I have seen nicer ones that are enclosed.
try this: go to google and type site:ffcars.com then what you want info about.
