Has anyone mounted a third brake light in the rear spoiler? I'm thinking I'd like to do so but need input on which ones, aftermarket or production, would fit easily in the spoiler. Again, thanks for all the help. John.
There are several coupes out there with the 3rd brake light in that space.
I have a cut-out for circulation and the intend to put a 3rd brake light in. I thought i'd use LED's but haven't found what I want yet.

I've been considering one of the ones used in a pickup either with the third brake light flanked by white bed lights so they could be used as reverse lights or just red. I need to go to a bone yard and see a few before I decide if it would look OK or not
I'm going to use a 3rd brake light out of a Cavalier for my Spyder.
It's a LED unit and it's made by Hella.

This is the one for the Ford Ranger.
I had to make a new rear spoiler to make it fit. The spoiler had to be thicker. The resulting rear spoiler is more closer to the originals than the FFR version. I blended mine into the body.
While on the topic of brake lights, does anyone know the diameter of the FFR brake lights. Chrome ring included. I'm trying to photoshop some different ideas and a reference measurement would be real helpful.
TIA.

well mine actually has 3 rings, a black rubber gasket (2.8") chrome ring (2.5") and red lenses (2.1"). should be pretty close, but did not spend a lot of time making sure the caliper was centered.

Thanks Steve. I'm trying to get a visual in what 4" lights would look like. I'll post my work for everyone's amusement. My photoshop skills are right up there with my welding abilities. (Think spastic orangutan after three shots of espresso.)

This is mounted below the spoiler.I also added 4 aluminum small splash guards behind each tire and back up lights on the rear splash guards under the body.
