Coyote coupe??

In years past, I built a MKII roadster, and in recent time I have been considering a coupe.

Has anyone to date built a coupe with a fuel injected coyote engine? I realize that hood clearance issues likely exist, and exhaust system parts (headers) are likely a problem also.

Any words of wisdom?

I am putting an LS1 in my Coupe which is similar in design and size. Hood clearance is not the problem. It will be tight on the footboxes at the widest point. To fit at all I think it will need to be moved quite a bit forward. Moving it forward helps with the footbox issue, firewall clearance, and header fitament. The headers will probably need to be custom and the motor mounts will be one of a kind. Again the flat intake design makes the hood clearance a non-issue. My LS has about 3-4" of hood clearance.

The "NEW" 5.0 can be done I think pretty easily..The 4.6 engine mounts will work for the frame so no mods there..You will have to order the 4.6 inner foot box aluminum for the roadster..Two pieces that cost about 100 bucks extra..the headers well..The coupe headers are out unless you can weld and fab..BUT F5 is coming out with headers for the roadster Coyote builds very soon so you can use that..OR you can use AST Glen's flanges that adapt to the 2V 4.6 headers but require welding. If you ever need a welder I am your man..I live in Chandler and Tig weld Aluminum for a living and what ever metal you have! Mig also..I work for cheap..Usually a Coors Light will take care of the bill! I have a coupe also that I bought that is in of slight repair..I am thinking of going with the Coyote or a LSX style engine for my coupe build...Shooting for XP Champ in my class at my local Auto-X..

I was over at the JBL shop here in Tulsa and noticed that Larry Goins the owner has a brand new crate Coyote Engine he has installed in his coupe. So, my guess is that it will fit in a FFCoupe as well. By the way that Coyote is an awsome looking engine... Not a bad option considering it has 440 hp bone stock and a 3 year warrenty.

Thought it was 412 stock and 440 with the Boss intake?

Not to hijack this thread but...JBL has a coupe?!? I'd love to see some pics of that.
