Ride height and day-to-day use

So I'm running the 15" rims, which mean larger sidewalls which overall mean bigger tires. This car will be a daily driver, for those of you not familliar with my extensive modifications.

Initially, I set my ride height at 5.5 and 6, which I knew to be high, but I wanted to minimize any issues associated with bad intersections, steep driveways, etc.

I decided it looked stupid and lowered the back down, giving me 5.5 all around.

But it still looks high. Will I have any clearance issues running 5" front and rear? I am running slightly softer springs on my car (50# less, front and back, which comes out to about a 12% reduction)

I know many of you run less than this and "have no problems" but most here aren't daily drivers either...

Clam, I say leave it where its at right now. Between getting paint on mine and when I really started driving it last fall mine settled about 1/2" on both ends. Let it settle then adjust accordingly.

I have been running 3 3/4" for 3000 miles and have never hit the frame once. Alot depends on the depth of your oil pan and bellhousing. My Champ pan was above the frame rails but my quicktime BH was about 1/2" lower than the frame. When I removed it all the powdercoat was still on the bottom. Considering my 3 3/4" ride height I was suprised it had never touched once.

Im actually concerned about scraping the nose on a driveway or crappy intersection.

The 2 scrapes on my nose came from pulling too far forward in a parking space. The nose is deceiving in how long it is. I have yet to hit on a drive entry, but I take them at an angle.

My Roadster was set to 3" in the front and 3.5" in the rear. I did have problems with speed bumps, but it looked way cool!

I am at 4.75" in the rear, 4.5" in the front. At this height, the frame just clears a hump in my driveway. No problems with speed bumps . . . so far.

I am at 4.5 inch front and rear. Only issue is parking lot curbs. That problem is a driving skill issue.

I have been to the weekly car show at the Scottsdale pavilion and have seen one OUTRAGIOUSLY high SPF, must have been 6 inches!!

I'm at 4" front 4.5 rear. I've have had no problems with speed bumps or driveways but I have a couple of scrapes under the nose (they don't show unless you crawl underneath). The scrapes came from curbs which is a driver issue, which someone else already addressed. I also have to use additional 6' ramps when loading into my trailer. I have 24,000 miles with out clearance issues and I do go down dirt roads which are quite common here but with care.

I have my front and rear at 4.5, and I have a sloped driveway.

If I go up it real slow I'm fine. If I go up with any speed the nose rubs.

Not to mention, I also have that driver problem the others mentioned with curbs.

Ditto on the nose scraping a curb ... oops! I'm running 3.5" front and rear. I have bottomed on the Quicktime scattershield on occasion. I take speed bumps at an angle and no problem there.
