Question

i am getting paranoid! i may have mixed up my front end lower control (FORD) arms during cleaning, priming and painting. they have a hole where the sway bar used to mount - should this hole be towards the front bumper or the engine?

NEW GOAL 100,000 miles on the coupe and then get a GTM ( more than 1/3 the way there )
Got a second 302HO engine, rebuilding, 30 over, balanced, Comp Cam, single turbo, low compression, custom headers, one 3" pipe per side, intercooler. Driving at 6000' I lose 18% of my HP so TURBO.

I'm not looking at my Mustang right now, but let me ask you something. Do they even fit both ways? My understanding of why the tubular FFR arms require shims on the rear mount is that the Ford arms have the rear mount wider than the front. That would imply you couldn't switch them unless you also flipped them upside down.

Anyway, I'll look at my donor car with the front suspension still in place this evening. I can send you a picture if you like.

The outboard end of the donor LCAs should curve or point toward the back of the car.

They only fit one way.

Hi Geezer Tom
I just removed the sway bar the other day.
The mounting is toward the FRONT of the lower
control arms (towards the front bumper).
