these are the seats that came with the 2000Mustang cobra R. they are in my open track-prepped mustang, but i'd like to run them in a coupe. since they already fit the mustang, is there any reason to think there would be trouble fittning them to a coupe? or is the mustang relationship irrelevant in this case?

Peter,

It just depends on the width of the seat at both the shoulder line and at the hips. Given that the SRD is a reclining seat, I would tend to think that it won't fit due to the extra width at the rear, and the way the tunnel is constructed, you'll need to cant the seat out of position.

Best bet for most has been a Kirkey seat. Due mainly to the dimensions of most of the OEM/Aftermarket stock type seats out there measuring between 19 3/4" up, width wise they make for a tough fit in the Coupe.

To be able to position a seat correctly, the max I've found usable has been 18", and that was really pushing it.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.
