I know that everyone knows what a 427 Cobra is but how does the general public and gear heads say about your Coupe. Also, how do you like the driving experience vs. say the roadster.

Thx, JQ

Johny, I don't think there is much of a comparison between the roadster and the coupe. The roadster has that certain universal appeal, people, even little kids that don't know what it is LOVE roadsters. When I take my roadster out it always draws a crowd. The coupe is a different animal, most people just can't figure out what it is, the different shape to most is more unusual then beautiful.

Most coupe builders have some knowledge of the story and find the beauty in the whole package.

This is all a bit general but it's the feeling I find most common.
As for the driving difference I don't have much time in coupes yet but have found the coupe a be more refined in it's feel.

Russ,
You are right on. I have never met anyone who didn't love the roadster whether they now anything about cars or not. The coupe gets a ton of attention but most people do not know what it is. Alot of people love it and alot don't, no one seems to be luke warm on the coupe. People have very strong feelings about one way or the other. They get called everything from Corvettes to Jaguars, but when you meet someone who knows it is a Coupe then you have met someone who knows cars. I have found people that know the coupe have a huge amount of car knowledge and I can usually learn alot from them. There is nothing quite like seeing the shape of the coupe drive by.

the very first trip I took in my Coupe was to the parts store. A guy met me in the parking lot on the way out and said, I never thought he would see one of those real or replica. He was the former president of some shelby club. He knew just what it was. Everywhere I take it people ask what it is. I finally made up a sign that is attached to the rear floor explaining what it is and a little of its history.

Johnny;
Everything Russ and Michael mentioned. The coupe is my third Cobra; NAF FIA HIPO 289, 427SC ERA 427 SO and have driven a multitude of different replicas which various friends own and a couple of orginial small block cars. The agility of the coupe far surpasses all of the above, it lends it self to be (with the proper suspension) a lot of fun on the street, and thrill for track use! Now talking about interior comfort unless your my size 5'5" it requires a sense of humor and some engineering.

Clark,

What suspension do you have in your coupe?

Thanks,

Clark, Switch the springs. You want 550 front and 600 rear.
