So I received my wipers from ff today. It looks like the nice chrome ones will go for sale as the coupe ones are bigger. Not chrome either. I wonder why they send out both kinds? How much are the cobra units worth you think?
Anyways on to the question. How does the top of the wheelbox stay put? There is one nut on the unit but I assumed the unit would be sandwiched in with some other sort of hardware. The chrome top piece looks to just sit on the body being held on by the wiper arm. If that was the case the movement of the arm would wear away the plastic. I hope I was clear enough to give a idea of what I am talking about.

Brian,

Check out the pictures on Ken Aoki's clubphoto site. He has some pictures of the wiper install.

Must be wiper week. My father-in-law reported that mine showed up today, along with a second fuel cell!

Brian, the order of things. Wheel box, then there is a black hard rubber collar with and angled end, the body hole, a rubber gasket, the chrome bezel and finally the nut that holds the whole thing together. The wiper will sit on the knurled post that sticks thru the nut.
I had to notch the black collar to clear the upper firewall frame tube.
If you don't have a nut it isn't going to work in my opinion.

After looking into it further I did figure things out. The chrome bezel doesn't fit the setup too well. Also the wiper attach point is not on a flat surface like the cobras, so it'll be more grinding to fit the bezel. I will be painting them black anyways so it will look alright.
I ended up mounting the motor above my fuse box on the drivers side. I had not planned on wipers when I installed my a/c so space was not an option there for me.

Brian, did you get two sets of arms and blades? I did, and all I can figure is they make one part number for both coupes and roadsters and ship them with the proper size wipers for both.
