Kit Car Builder Magazine

Wow.

I just received the current Kit Car Builder Magazine and saw an amazing Type 65 Coupe that was built by Alan Smith, and Terry Riebel of the Dream Car Company. This is a beautiful car, and I just felt the need to let him know.

I don't know if he's a forum member, but if so, Congratulations on such an amazing build. It's certainly one to be proud of. Absolutely stunning!

Stig, Thank you so much for the kind words! We have been waiting anxiously for this issue.
I want to thank Jim Youngs of Kit Car Builder for considering the car for his magazine! My eternal thanks goes to Juan Lopez-Bonilla for his talents behind the camera! The shoot was an experience. I had no idea how much work goes in to a shoot like this. Alans car turned out beautifully. It is such a head turner wherever it goes. I hope everyone enjoys the article.
Thank you!
Terry Riebel

Official Graduation!

Alan has never officially graduated his car, so I think this may be appropo to do so.
Sergio, Can you turn this into a graduation for Alan Smith? Here are some additional photos.

Alan, congrats, great seeing another coupe in there. They sure picked a better place to shoot your picks then they did mine, I think your photos are much nicer and I like the views of your coupe a lot.

Russ,

Many thanks to you for always being there to answer my hectic questions, and for also getting your wares to me in a timely matter.
You also set the bar high for me, as it was your coupe that I focused on to emulate.
I appreciate the many vendors that played a part in helping Terry and I, with their advice and the many extra parts that they have provided.

Alan

Thanks, I wish I could see the magazine....
Borders, Barnes and Nobles, Waldenbooks, none of them have it.

Oh well I'm sure I will eventually get ahold of an issue

I'll be in Louisville again in November for the Breeders Cup. I'd love to see it in person! Or borrow it(only to save rental car costs of course)

Looks awesome. Another vote for POM! You need a website with all of the build pics, as it would be nice to see all of the details.

Regards, Mike

Hey guys, Thank you all for the responses! It's a great feeling to know that the many, many hours of work that I have in this build are met with such a positive reaction. It makes it all worth it! I do have many pictures of the build process that began when I started on this. I'll work to put this together and share it with you. It may take some time to put it all in place, I'll get it as soon as I can.
I hope you have enjoyed the article in Kit Car Builder Magazine! What an honor to be showcased in that! Have any of you had a chance to read it?
Thank you!

That's awesome!

Anyone know what carpet that is? I want to do 2 tone in my roadster, and still looking for carpet. Looks like the bentley stuff.

Not Bentley but that was discussed. It's Supeflex Automotive Carpet from Miami Corp.
The entire console and trans tunnel is one piece of carpet. That was fun!
