I know it shouldn't matter here anyway but figured i'll tell the story anyway. Back in April of '05 i had aspirations of owning the '07 Shelby when i plunked down my deposit. Needless to say, that fell through and i went to plan B. (building my own Shelby). I looked hard at FFR but went with a Shell Valley body and a custom tubular frame with roll cage. Anyway, i just got back this week with the car and now i'm sorting what needs to be done 1st. It's kinda weird to open the garage and see this awsome car just sitting there begging to be brought to life. Here she is in all her glory.
I just had to share in the news.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.
It'll look great tooling around Long Island that's for sure..I' know that you'll show the BIG MONEY there a thing or two....I like it best when the Ferrari guys come over to look at mine.Hehehehehhehehehe!!! GOOD LUCK , It looks great even in it's raw stage..Dave
I built a roadster from Midstates, which is now part of Shell Valley.
If working with Shell Valley is half as enjoyable as my experience with Bob Kallio and crew at Midstates, you will have a great time and a great result.

Oh sure!!! _Now_ we have a jacket to protect people from themselves. Where was this when I had mine built?
The "Committee" actually has been trying to get you to wear this at the track, you always seem to disappear just before the drivers meeting!!

Of course, if you posted the pictures of the rear suspension mods, we could get them to resend the restraining order...LOL

lol! I look as dumb as I am! Coupe hasn't been to my house but once since February so I haven't been able to get my act together for the pics. The last few months have focused on getting the new spec racer up to speed prior to Nationals. Based on how we did last weekend at MidOhio I think we are pretty close. Once Nationals is done the rest of the year will emphasize the Coupe and that probably includes the 13 Hours of VIR.
That's great to hear, I really miss your Coupe adventures, and the ensuing write up and videos!

FC,
It is great to see it sitting in your garage and I'm looking forward to the day mine is sitting in my garage. (I'm looking more forward to the day when it is finished and sitting in there, already).
Couldn't help but notice you have another project car with it. You can just see the headlight in your pic. I'm sure some of the guys here can tell what year, make, and model that is just from the bit that can be seen. For us who can't - what is that car and what are your aspirations for it? Keep your reply short - I don't want to tick off the thread/ forum police.
Suprised no one picked up on that sooner. Peeking in the corner of the pic is a 1966 Ford Fairlane. I actually have 2 of them and both just recently sold to a guy in Conneticut. He'll be picking them up by the end of the month. I need room and funds for the coupe so the Fairlanes had to go.
I promised my 3yr old the Fairlane pictured but he flipped out over the coupe when i brought it home. He loves to just sit in it and play with the steering wheel. He but all forgotten about the Fairlane and now wants to drive the coupe.
He knows it'll be his one day.
