Hi All,

After looking into this as far back as last years Knott’s I ended up buying DDPDDS’s un-started kit. Danny had planned to use the car for road racing and was going to have Performance Associates in San Dimas, CA build the car. Trilby at Performance Associates has done the best inventory that I have seen. Every single part down to the last nut, bolt and washer is in its own bag with a label with its part number on it. As a result of her hard work I have a coupe kit in my garage with NO BACKORDERS . It is as complete as it can be. If you get a chance to visit Performance Associates do it, they had a bunch of really nice cars including Cobras. Say hi to Trilby.

Randy from Stewart Transport delivered the car despite an encounter with the dirt roads in the high country...thanks Randy. Manny (mannyjoe) moved boxes for me and pushed the car the 300 yards from the big rig to the house ... thanks Manny.

My plans for the Coupe have been fairly fluid. The latest iteration is carbed Ford crate 347, TKO, 3-link, homegrown sway-bars and assorted other modifications copied from the folks who know what they are doing.

For the AZ crew, and any visitors in the area, Paula and I were thinking about an un-crating event on Sat the 12th. We are in Payson, bit of a haul I know but we’d love to see any of you that can make it.

Dave,

We'll reserve you one of the Coupe jackets, it has really long sleeves that tie in the back, but your wife will most likely need to help you put in on, welcome to the gang.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Hmmm I don't see any hands but mine. I can weld icecream to just ask me.

Welcome to the group..

Dave,

Welcome to the fun and games!

Hank,

I don't think I ever got my Coupe jacket? That must be why my head hurts so bad

Glad to see your back in town. Manuel is painting Dave N.'s car this weekend and mine the following weekend. I hope to have pictures to post soon. All the best, our love to Paula.

Hey Dave

Peyson is over by Strawberry, right? I'm up in Prescott Valley with a Spyder in the oven, it'd be good to make it over sometime. If you're ever taking the roadster out this way lemme know via PM.

Hi Cheap,

Yep, Payson is near Strawberry. Come on over any time. How far along are you with your build?

I have cut out the 4-link bracketry from the frame. Cut out some tubing in the trunk area for some storage boxes. Knocked down the seams on the nose. The 3-link setup I ordered has arrived but minus the upper link frame bracket and the panhard bracket. I asked for them unpainted so they can be welded in. I'm pretty sure they will arrive after the next production run. No worries, there is plenty of other stuff to do

See Mikec I do work on it

HankL, thanks for the offer of "the jacket". I still have the roadster variant.

Thanks for the welcome everybody.

Dave

Dave

My spyder has been at the body shop for almost a year now, waiting on a nose. I had one of the recall noses and I had to pull teeth to finally get my replacement parts; it just finally arrived last friday and is now at Kens in CA. All I've got done is the suspension and gas tank, but I'm geared up and ready to get some work done on it! I'll be busting out the brakes and sheetmetal soon as I get it back.

Dave,
Congrats on the acquisition.
A good home for sure!
You will do another fantastic job on it.

On the 347 Crate, how about any of these inductions?
1. Stacks EFI
2. Mass-Flo EFI
3. Dual 4's

see 345 HP Carb Choices (cost effective, too!)
