What are these?

Does anyone know what these are for? There are no FFR part numbers on them.
Thanks!
Mike

They sort of resemble the aluminum stock that came with my MKIII kit, to mount the kit-supplied radiator fan to the stock radiator shroud. Although mine had a bend at each end. Maybe the Coupe is a bit different.

I ran out to the garage and snapped these for you, for reference:

Its the old "B" pillar mystery parts again.
We've had many people ask this one.
Some of us got them, some didn't. But no one has seen them in the manual.

Although they did not fit 100% they act to support the lower wheel house alu' on the front wheel. With the fit of the lower alu' panel this steel brace and the locator pin it realy gives the front of the lower rocker a good deal of strength.
That's where I fit them at least, worked well.

If those steel peices are for the rockers. I don't have the peices that are supposed to be the "B" pillar. Anyone have any photos of those peices. I thought the steel peices were them. The manual is vauge here . It shows you where to cut the slot and the top of the peice but there is no photo or part number.

The 'b' pillar piece is flat, looks like a tall number 1, but you install it upside down (foot of the 1 goes in the slot at the top.

The piece pictured above is bent at the end, forward rocker panel support as previously stated.

Got a second 302HO engine, rebuilding, 30 over, balanced, Comp Cam, single turbo, low compression, custom headers, one 3" pipe per side, intercooler. Driving at 6000' I lose 18% of my HP so TURBO.

Tom: That's the right place for them.

Twan: Yes, I believe that's where I found them.

Found them in the bottom of the long box with the side windows and frames. I kind of have them mounted for the time being. I am guessing that the window frame will rest on them with the weatherseal in between.

Thanks, all. Bluehorse . . . I think you got it!
BTW . . . I am not going to use my B pillar pieces (the powdercoated, #1-shaped steel things) . . . if anyone would like mine, I'll send them along.
Cheers,
Mike
