I have a new never used Ford 302 motor that I would like to sell. I was going to turn it into a 331 stroker, but after realizing that in order to get the performance i'm after I would basiclally need to replace every moving part. I've since decided to use a seasoned block and do the engine build out from there. The engine has sat for a few years while i work on the project, but I had the heads off last month to start the project and upon a visual inspection everything looks fine. Engine has iron GT40 heads, located in Grand Rapids, MI.
I purchased it along with a half built kit from another owner. Never been run, explorer engine with explorer oil pan. Target asking price is 1500.00, not sure what a new one runs, so i can say i would accept offers as well. I can post some photos tomorrow from the office.
New rules require a minimum of 25 posts before one can sell parts. This is to prevent people from using this site to just sel their stuff. A software change is forthcoming.

Agreed. Does seem a little quick / extreme as the two posts appear to be legitimate from a new owner of a 2nd hand kit.
His two first and only posts were to sell something which is against the forum rules. I honestly didn't notice that he mentioned buying an FFR kit.. I'm okay with removing the BAN and deleting the offending post with just a warning.. Let me see what I can do..
EDIT: I reversed the BAN, but it's still showing banned.. hmmm..
Did you see the post by mikeromadigan? He's been a member since 2006, but it looks like all 23 posts were to sell items. (also did not make the 25 posts criteria)
just saying............

We do the best we can to be fair. The new modification to the software will assure that the 25 post rule is consistently applied to everyone, including the person that you just mentioned.
Banning isn't harsh for some person that only comes to FFCARS for the sole purpose of selling stuff, rather than using eBay or Craigslist. That isn't what this forum is for and there are many that have already been banned for doing that.
I already mentioned that I was going to work on trying to remove the BAN on RedEye since he apparently owns an FFR and probably would have eventually used the forum for other purposes.
RedEye, if you see this, please send an email to me.
Hi All,
Sorry about causing the trouble. I didn't know there was a 25 post rule before tying to list anything for sale. My main interest was to sell an engine among a group that would be informed buyers - and since it'll go below replacement value - probably as a very good deal for someone.
Anyhow... I smite myself for the error, and am glad to see that while booted, I have been reinstated. (all while on a vacation so as to not experience the emotional stress of rejection)
Hope all is well.
RedEye (yes that's from flying... and trading the overnight forex market)
Okay, Red Eye, you're unbanned. Please don't do it again and enjoy the forum! You should be able to knock out 22 more posts in other areas in a day or two.. Right?

So I guess a true car builder (someone who doesn't need any forum help with their build, and is not an Internet Chatty Patty) who orders a kit, builds their car, and sells the parts they don't need would be banned also? It seems that the rules should be changed to include a clause stating that new members or members with less than 25 post need to become more chatty whether or not they have something to say in order to be validated. Keep in mind that we have members who have been on since the beginning of the forum who have nothing F5 car related to discuss and don't own a F5. Maybe that should be taken into consideration for banning also.
Maybe one of the rules should state that this site is strictly for builders and owners.
