unfinished 429 Big Block mkIV for sale in VA

Well folks, it comes with a heavy heart that I have come to list my roadster for sale. I joined this site, and recently started posting on it in the hopes that it would light a spark back in me to finish this car, but at the age of almost 70..I find myself struggling quite a bit. I took delivery of this kit on new years eve of 2014 and immediately went to town on this car. After awhile, I had to take a few breaks from working on it..and have basically taken 8 months off of working on it since delivery because of my own health, and my wife's health. I don't feel as though I have the wherewithal to complete this massive project.

With that being said, here is some info on the build.

The complete kit was optioned out with the upgraded big and tall seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, embroidered floor mats, replica gauge kit, header and side pipe kit, single roll bar, halibrand replica wheels, wilwood pedal box, upgraded brake package, heater, wipers, 2 different front and rear bumper kits, wind wings, sun visors, and totalled out to $25,600.

The car has been most of the way assembled, and driven for 4 miles minus the door fitment, trunk and hood fitment. The wiring for all the lights have been tested, but the lights are not installed. Otherwise, the wiring is complete minus tidying up a few things for visual pleasure. No body work has been done on the body yet. There are a few odds and ends to tidy up, but its essentially ready to do fitment of the doors, install latches, sand, and paint.
Engine:
Completely redone 1969 429 4v "thunder jet" with original C9VE heads that were reworked, original crank was also reworked
Cylinders bored .030
Stock style pistons
11:1 compression with a 0.010" deck clearance height
Comp Cams "thumpr cam"
Custom chrome serpentine belt components with 1 wire alternator
Edelbrock performer RPM intake
FAST EZ Efi 2.0 fuel injection with automatic timing distributor
Machined and assembled by Scott at Apples Machine Shop in Yorktown, VA.

Transmission:
TKO 600 built by Mike Forte
Quicktime Bellhousing
All supporting parts came from Mike Forte

Rear Axle for 3 link rear suspension:
Non Donor 8.8 built by Mike Forte
Yukon 3.55 gears
Yukon LSD
Yukon axles

Breeze automotive radiator hinge kit
Breeze automotive mesh grill kit
Breeze automotive rubber body grommet kit
Whitby Motorsports power brake kit
Eastwood insulation under the carpeting
All the carpet edges were heimed
All aluminum panels were powder coated black
Aftermarket door pockets
Upgraded door latch kit

I have invested over $60,000 into this car so far, I don't think an asking price of $35,000 is unreasonable when pretty much all thats left is body work.

If needed, I can deliver the car to you if you're within a few hundred miles from me via enclosed trailer.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via phone call at 757-812-3167.

The timing is a little off for me. I have two cars in the making, otherwise I would be very interested.
In case you still have this car in 12 weeks or so - find me!

Hopefully for my sake, I don't still have it haha. But if I do still have it in August, I'll look you up. If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures of it, feel free to give me a call. I have various pictures in its different build stages.

I have a gentleman that is interested but it's not quite the right time for him either. He is crunching some numbers and seeing if it's workable for him, and is supposed to get back to me. Hopefully someone will give this monster a good home.
