REDUCED PRICE Factory Five MK3 Non Donor 521 Big Block Unfinished body

Factory Five MK3 Non Donor 521 Big Block Unfinished body

I've decided to add a little background info as to why I am looking to sell my MK3 Cobra. In 2007 I sold my drag car, a 9 second stick shift 88 Mustang notchback (at a loss of course). I always wanted a Cobra so I bought the kit to build my own from the ground up. It was a blast to build and was one of the easiest cars I have built or assembled over the past 8 years. I have owned many Mustangs of various sorts through the years and with limited space and time I need to sell. The car has been driven rougly 200-300 miles per year with the exception of this year which was only about 50 miles. I work on a handful of other Cobra kit cars and this one without a doubt runs and drives better than any others. No squeaks, rattles or shimmies. I credit it to building the car to keep as I was not planning to sell it, but my needs have changed. I'm at the point now where I need more room in my shop for customer cars. Driving the car it is very docile until you stomp the loud pedal and then look out! Car has never been raced, but has been built with race parts.

Camshaft and compression has been kept mild for drivability. Motor could easily make another 75 hp with headwork and different cam. That being said this is plenty for a 2,300lb car (approximate). Would like to sell outright, but I will consider a trade only for a 2003 or 2004 low mileage Mustang Cobra. At least they can sit outside in the rain if need be.

Although building this car was for personal use and enjoyment, I do professionally build drag cars and street cars for a living. The original order from Factory five was just under $18,000 and that did not include engine, transmission, rearend, brakes, and other drive line accessories, not to mention labor and other assorted costs through the build. There are many personal touches not listed. Any comments and inquiries are welcome.
