Paint is about an 8/10, drive-train has no issues and no leaks. Interior is great, the tach currently isn't working and the fuel gauge is reading backwards, I just put this dash and gauges in last week and haven't finished sorting it out quite yet. Selling to prepare for being out of work for awhile.
I see that your car is a Mk 1. Do you knowo when it was completed and registered? I ask because I am in Canada and in order to import it into Canada is has to have been registered in the U.S. for 15 years or more.

Sorry, she's titled as a 1999 Roadster, good luck with the search!
I keep meaning to go and take some more pictures... I think there are some on the photobucket link... I'll take some better ones by this weekend I promise!
I've posted several short videos on the photobucket link..........they're on youtube as well, if you search for my user name "Moosepuck123" they'll turn up with all of my other videos.
Also, has anyone sold a car to someone overseas? I've had a couple of inquiries and I'm naturally paranoid about being ripped off. I'm telling the perspective buyers that I'll have to have cash in hand (at my bank) before the car leaves my sight. They'll want to make sure the car is what they want as well and plan to send an inspector out ahead of time(whom I won't meet at home)..... I don't think I can be too cautious, does anyone have any experiences to share? Or advice... Good or bad.....
You are wise to be cautious and a real buyer will understand the need to have clear and secured funds before the car is picked up. Good luck with the sale, a lot of car for the $.

I have sold a few cars to overseas buyers and all the legitimate ones used intermediaries. I had several who were just outright scam artists but they're pretty easy to tell that they are the same as any sort of run of the mill fake cashiers check scam artist. The two legit ones both contacted me originally and then one had an inspector come by and look at the car with him on the phone and send him his own pictures and video. The other one had basically done a consignment purchase with a dealership; the dealership sent a "buyer" for lack of a better term out who examined and negotiated on the price on my car and then they tacked their fee on and forwarded the car onward. In both cases I didn't have to handle shipping or anything. I would beware of anyone that wants to pay you more than you're asking and tells you to keep the rest, those are generally scams. Or people who say that they're overseas and thats why they can't do this or that. If you're going to accept wire transfers you should setup a special "wire account." That is what I do, I have a free checking account with a bank I don't even regularly use that I keep about 100 dollars in and all I use it for is incoming wire transfers. The account is frozen with the bank; it's not supposed to allow any transactions except incoming ( and outgoing if I'm at the bank ) wire transfers. That way I can give out the account and routing numbers without fear of anything happening to an account with any money sitting in it. Wouldn't want to hand out all your account information and have some scammer order checks off the internet with all of your information and their name on it and go on a spending spree from your actual account. Just my little bits of advice. Good luck you have a beautiful car!!
Good info, thank you... One person in particular has a user name on here... and he's asked a few other people about their cars, but has used about 3 different first names in 6 or 7 different posts.....but he sounds legit on the phone, sounds like a nice guy and not asking for anything odd (other than to buy my car from another country). I'll call my bank for some more info about restricting in or outgoing transactions on a separate account.
