MK3 Roadster 99.9% finished

Hello all, I have been a member of this site for a little over 2 years and have visited the classified section thousands of times, both when looking for a car & parts and now for the sale of my car. Unfortunately I have to sell my unfinished build to take advantage of a business opportunity. Please understand that this is not a distressed sale, nor am I on crack; with this said please do not come with ridiculous offers. I will just not answer them. Now, although I am looking to sell to invest on my new venture; I will also consider trades which I would then turn around and sell for profit. I am still going to work on the car until i finish it or sell it, which ever comes first. I have invested a little over 38K. I am asking 25k and here is what you get for 25k.

This is a non-donor kit that is 99.9% complete, all it needs is about 3 full days of work and a paintjob. If you notice closely at the pictures, i have put together the body and not much filler will be needed in order to get a perfect finish. I measured all areas and reduced all edges equally using a measuring tool for all the gaps. The hood scoop is crewed in and the hood will soon also have the same screws, in the pictures you can tell the lines and measurements have been drawn. I am using a 13-1-13 patter for the scoop and 8-0-8 pattern for the hood.

Engine: 351 Windsor "Roller" motor built hot. It has Roller rockers Scorpio 1.6, Comp Cam Hi-tech pushrods, SVO GT 40 aluminum heads, racing front sump 7q oil pan, polished aluminum valve covers, chrome headers, MSD Ignition, MSD distributor, 48 IDA Webber carbs, polished under drive pulleys
.
Exhaust: Ceramic Coated Side Pipes, Ceramic coated j pipes and chrome Heat Shields

Transmission: 94 Ford Mustang T5

Rear end: 3:27 to 1 Posi 8.8 with expanded cover.

Steering: Breeze Manual Steering Rack

Cooling System: FFR Dual Core Aluminum Radiator with High Flow Fan, and polished stainless steel De-Gas overflow tank.

Fuel System: Ford Gas Tank w/Shield, Mallory Fuel Pump and fuel feed and return stainless steel braided lines.

Brakes: Dual CNC master cylinders, cobra calipers, 13" up front and 11.5 in back with cross drill rotors

Suspension: FFR 3-Link with Front and rear adjustable coilovers

Wheels/Tires: Nitrous II 17" with Nitto Tires - 255/45 Front and 315/45 Rear

Exterior/Interior and Miscellaneous additional items: Wood and Leather Steering Wheel, Russ Thompson VW Turn Signals, passenger and driver roll bars shortened about 2 inches for a more symmetrical clean look. Rear mounted battery with quick disconnects for easy removal of battery. Tons of additional parts, PM me for additional info…..

Sorry you have to sell, that looks like a great car! If you have trouble selling it whole, you might consider pulling the motor and/or stacks and selling them separately, your profit margins might be higher. Good luck with the sale and the new biz opportunity!

Cobra kit

I keep remembering things; here is a list of additional items you will get with the kit

This is a non-donor kit that is 99.9% complete; the kit comes with everything you need to finish it (interior carpets, seats, lights, handles, etc...) all it needs is about 3 full days of work and a paintjob. If you notice closely at the pictures, I have fitted the body almost perfectly and not much filler will be needed in order to get a perfect showroom finish. This was a job for my painter but I am so anal that I wanted to ensure the fitments before it went to paint. I measured all areas and reduced all edges equally using a measuring tool for all gaps. For those of you that are interested, my painter charges me $4,500 to paint the car and that’s including stripes. He has painted over 5 FFR roadsters and 3 Back Draft cobras. The hood scoop is crewed in and the hood will soon also have the same screws, in the pictures you can tell the lines and measurements have been drawn. I am using a 13-1-13 patter for the scoop and 8-0-8 pattern for the hood.

• Frame: Powder coated black.

• Aluminum: All aluminum panels were drilled and bored. Silicone was used on every surface where aluminum panels were installed. Dyna-mat and insulation has been started in the firewall behind the dash. I purchased enough Dyna-mat and insulation to cover the entire inside of cockpit and trunk.

• Engine: 351 Windsor "Roller" motor built hot. It has Roller rockers Scorpio 1.6, Comp Cam Hi-tech push-rods, SVO GT 40 aluminum heads, racing front sump 7q oil pan, polished aluminum valve covers, chrome headers, MSD Ignition, MSD distributor, 48 IDA Webber carbs, Mallory adjustable fuel pressure regulator with gauge and polished aluminum under drive pulleys (alternator, water pump and crank ).

• Exhaust: Ceramic Coated Side Pipes, Ceramic coated j pipes and chrome Heat Shields

• Transmission: 94 Ford Mustang T5 with new clutch

• Rear end: 3:27 to 1 Posi 8.8 with expanded cover.

• Steering: Breeze Manual Steering Rack

• Cooling System: FFR Dual Core Aluminum Radiator with high flow fan, Breeze shroud with a temperature sensitive fan switch mounted on the radiator and breeze lower radiator support. Polished stainless steel De-Gas overflow tank with visible fluid level hose hooked up to two 90 degree pipe fittings.

• Fuel System: Ford Gas Tank w/Shield, Mallory Fuel Pump and fuel feed and return stainless steel braided lines. Cut-out holes in the rear trunk panel for easy access to fuel pump.

• Brakes: Dual CNC master cylinders, cobra calipers, 13" up front and 11.5 in back with cross drill rotors

• Suspension: FFR 3-Link with front and rear adjustable coilovers

• Wheels/Tires: Nitrous II 17" with Nitto Tires - 255/45 Front and 315/45 Rear

• Trunk: Breeze hidden trunk hinges have been installed. Custom fabricated support to contour the shape of the trunk to match the contour of the body and for added support.

• Windshield: Installed quick release brackets to allow you to remove the windshield on a fly

Exterior/Interior and Miscellaneous additional items:

• Wood and Leather Steering Wheel,
• Russ Thompson VW turn signals steering column,
• Passenger and driver roll bars shortened about 2 inches for a more symmetrical clean look & with the blind system for and easy install and clean look.
• 2 Roll bar cross members to attach shoulder harness from finish line .
• Rear mounted battery with quick disconnects for easy removal of battery.
• Windshield has a quick disconnect system to allow for an on the fly removal of the windshield
• Additional aluminum windshield from a Back Draft cobra.
• Hood pins are supported using custom adjustable aluminum brackets for a better look and hood support.
• Stainless steel louvers from finish line
• Driver side Breeze seat track
• Extra dash
• Extra set of taillights from a Back Draft cobra
• Extra set of valve cover (ford cast)

Tons of additional parts, PM me for additional info…..

As mentioned in the original description, there are many other parts that are not listed that also come with the kit.

Is the car still available? If so...and considering how far into the build you already are, has the car been titled/registered yet?

Been away

Sorry guys, i know that there has been a lot of questions that i have not answered. Truth is that i have been extremely busy and i have not been in the site for quite a while. I will try to answer all the questions in this post.

Jimbo01: Jim, we have already talked.

Nelson P: Don't understand the question, the pics are posted you should be able to see them without any issues. you may want to be logged on before viewing.

JStyles300: Yes the car is still available although i have quite a fan base, i have an inspector coming to look at it, someone in Germany is interested and they are having it inspected today actually. So it is available until someone buys it.

Dodjestang: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is the percentage..........

First time engine started

Ok, so after much demand, here is a video of my engine cranked on. Keep in mind that it is with the exhaust off.

What light is on on the dash. Is the oil pressure gauge hooked up? How much oil pressure?
