Title says it all. Thinking of a dark charcoal grey metalic for my car. BUT all the current production cars I see are silver. I know I've seen the color just can't remember where.
Thanks, Stan

My '86 TBird was medium charcoal gray metallic. I always got complements on it. I don't know the code, but with that reference you can look it up.

My brother-in-law has a GT500 in "Alloy Clearcoat metallic" w/ tungsten stripes. If I remember I'll try to post a picture tonight and I can get the paint code for you if you want it.

BMW makes a nice charcoal gray. I used it for my stripes. I think it's called Silver Gray Metallic. It's one of those color-shifting illusion paints where it looks more silvery in certain light and darker gray in others. Just keep an eye out for beemers and you'll see it.

Stan, I have the same color preference as you. I like the Nissan "Smoke". It's on new Titan trucks. Very dark.

Here is the Mazda Titanium gray (Shinsen special edition) with silver stripes. Seems like many people like it, and have copied. In the sunlight it starts to look more silvery.

PPG has a Charcoal Silver Metallic (3389S) that is really nice. Not quite anthracite but darker than the standard silvers. I'm going to use it for my stripes.

Here it is when I got it home from the painters:

Here it is yesterday in the shop. Should be ready to graduate in a couple of weeks.

How close is the Anthracite silver to the silver in the Halibrand wheels?
