If you're going to go with a stock replacement, get the Motorcraft.

More Information for MOTORCRAFT FG800A

G3802A and FG800A is for the Mustang 5.0 and has 5/16" inlet and outlet. It is not a direct replacement for the one in the FFR kit which is a no-name no part number offshore copy but has 3/8" inlet and outlet and a similar form factor to the 5.0 filter.
For a 3/8" inlet and outlet made in USA EFI fuel filters (but longer and smaller diameter) the Coyote application in Motorcraft is FG1083 (I notice it necks down to 5/16" on the inlet and outlet, with stainless steel case) or WIX 33243 which is 3/8" without necking down and has a plated steel case.

Hope that helps!
