Shout out to Mark Dougherty, the Travelling Builder

Hi everyone! Like the title says, I'd like to give a belated shout out to Mark Dougherty. My build had stalled due to a variety of issues. Primarily I had gotten burnt out after a tough portion of the build (at least for me). Between all the electrical systems, the hydraulic clutch, power brakes, steering and coyote ecu I was a bit frazzled and unsure of myself. I had Mark come out and jump start my build. He is a wealth of knowledge and experience and I learned a lot and had fun while doing it. ( Although no one likes to hear they have to do something over!). In any event it may have been one of the smarter things I've done. Within 5 minutes he was pointing out areas of concern and grabbing wrench's. In the end I would estimate that I was 75% complete and 75% confident before Mark helped me out. After 3 days working together I would estimate I was 90% complete and 100% confident in my build, the safety and reliability of my cobra. Thanks Mark!!! I appreciate you candid and expert advice! Btw....I still use blue locktite on everything!!! Lol!!

WIS89 thanked this.

Mark is a great guy. I picked his brain when I was building my car and was great help to me.
He always has time to answer questions and will tell you in detail how to do it.

Mark kick started my build too. I went from a bucket of misaligned bolts to a go-cart in 3 days. Mark & his son Brandon were a wealth of knowledge. I recommend his services anytime.

Thanks again Mark.

I guess that I do it backwards , instead of having Mark fly out to my place ... I have taken two of my cars to Mark's shop and have Mark and Brendan "massage" them. It's always a great time watching them work their magic. Their knowledge and craftsmanship are top notch. And they are great fun to hang out with!
