Thinking of FINALLY replacing my 13 YO Pro-Shocks

Yes, been 13 years!

Looking at the QA-1's. Prices been dropping. Either single or double adjustable, and experiences or preferences from those who have used?

Does anyone know the part numbers that fit a MkII with 3-Link out back? Or compressed and extended lengths?

I don't need springs, got that set and have on car with all hats, hardware, etc.... 450 rear, 650 front.

Do know I will need to set it up all over again. Please don't remind me, but thank you for thinking of it.

FFR5148K MkII Roadster, MCRP 331 CI 415 HP w/ carb, 3-link, disc brakes, SN95 Front brakes, FR500 Wheels. Still mostly Gel-Coat Grey! Now with roll cage and more track stuff, wrecked, beaten, blown-up, man-handled, cut up, butchered, Freaky body mods, sat on by HOOTERS girls, still barely street legal.

Dan I would also consider Ridetech's coil over shocks. Either the single or double adjustable. They are a little more $ than the QA-1's but have Fox Shock valving and have got excellent reviews. I have a set on my truck project and the quality is first class. I can't comment on the ride or performance as the truck is not finished yet.

I can tell you from first hand experience that you will notice a substantial difference in the handling of your car by upgrading from the Pro Shocks. I went from the gold pro shocks to the FFR Koni red shocks and was amazed at much more planted the cart felt. I have since gone to the Koni DA aluminum shocks and noticed a nice difference but not as much as from the Pro Shocks to Koni reds. If you find a set of FFR Koni red shocks for sale at a good price I would also consider those.

I am very happy w/ my QA1 DA shocks. There may be others like the ridetechs or the konis that FFR sent w/ the anniversary cars that could be better. Knowing you drive to your track events I think these are great. I drive to AXs and have a street setting and an AX setting. Takes maybe 5 min to switch all four shock settings. They are also a corner balance adjusting tool. Although not exactly the same as a spring change, it's quick enough that I can make an adjustment in between runs.

I bought my QA1 shocks & springs from Mark @ Breeze. I had them with my 4 link and am using the same ones after I did the 3 Link conversion.

He sells the single & double adjustable ones...probably worth it to buy through him because he knows which ones work with our cars.

I agree with Dan. I got mine from Breeze and they are much better the the old PRO shocks. Call Mark and he can help you out.
