Graduation & Celebration of 8830!

I've mostly lurked here, but wanted to express my gratitude to all of the posters from whom I gained valuable insights and information. Please graduate and welcome 8830 to the road!

And to make things even better, she won best cobra replica at NPD's Silver Spring Ford show this past weekend. First show ever - granted there were only two Factory Fives onsite Saturday, but a win is a win! LOL

Participated in the organized cruise on Friday as well and was the lone Cobra. Reiceved many compliments, and I'm simply over the moon regarding the build.

Thanks again to all!

-Doug

Congratulations - I agree - more pics.

My car has the same color scheme. I just moved it down to Longboat Key. I don't get to drive it much but maybe we will see each other on the road some time.

Enjoy

If you don't think it's real, go ahead and step in front of it!

Sorry for the delay, bit of a hurried week in the books...as requested, some more info and pictures.

My 8830 (she doesn't have a name yet lol) is a Mk4, 3-link, non donor with a carbed Blueprint 347, Ford Racing T5, 3.55 rear gear, and paint by the magicians at Whitby - Indigo Ink, for the record.

The moment you realize the thing is actually real for the first time:

The moment you realize you've got a racecar on your hands:

Mix in one Ford power adder...CHECK:

It's alive...ALIVE!

Off to Whitby for some fancy clothes:

Can't thank Jeff and the rest of the crew in Greensboro enough for the beautiful bodywork:

Birthplace of a beautiful monster lol:

It's not official until it's been on a Slurpee run. (Coca Cola & Cherry Mix for optimal performance.)

Any plans to attend the Devereaux Kaiser show at the end of this month at Lakewood Ranch?

I'd love to meet up sometime with the cars - drop me a line here and we'll make it happen.
