Where's the handle?

After numerous passengers struggling with the "where's the handle?" "how does this work?" mental battle, I added courtesy LEDs to my doors, internally wired and controlled with door switches as well as my remote control for the Viper.

The footwell and door lights turn on with either the door opening or disarming the security system. See video below.

I also installed and still am completing additional trunk lighting on a mercury type switch. works perfect so far but I am adding additional lights.

Excellent idea, and looks great. Have you gave any thought to under hood lights?

Here is the bolt LED.
Bolt Beam 12mm LED Light | Pre Wired LEDs and LED Bolts | Accent Lighting | Super Bright LEDs

Yes I have thought about under hood and have considered those bolt type based on their output pattern but need to determine what will be adequate for distance when hood is open.

I would either use a mercury (hidden) or auto alarm type(ties into viper unit as well) to close circuit for hood lights. Will keep you updated.

The video may not show it but these things rock at night! Light up the whole interior.

Yep, very nifty, I like that location for the door switch, I'll do that this time around.

Tyler, I REALLY like your door lights, my question is, how did you get the nut on the inside of the door and tighten it?

I didn't use a nut on the inside of the door, I just drilled the hole to 1/2" (12.7mm) which turned out to be perfect for the 12mm bolt that I applied some silicone to the threads. Had held up great with all the door closings.

Thanks!
That's exactly what I was thinking of doing to start with.
I thought you magically got the nut in there some how.

Voice command door latches :)

Nice work there.

I installed voice command door latches. I say "push down on that leather thingy" and the passenger easily opens the latch.
