Clutch Line - Need Feedback

I decided a while back (right or wrong) to run the clutch line along the frame tube inside of the footbox and exiting on the engine side (see pics).

I used a rubber grommet to protect the line, and it's been on my list for a long time to replace the grommet with a bulkhead fitting.

The dilemma: I'm tempted to just leave the rubber grommet and button up the footbox (I'm close to being done with the chassis) - do I really need the bulkhead fitting?

Thanks,
Troy

No, as long as the grommet does the job of keep the line from rubbing.
If you use a bulkhead fitting an it starts to leak you won't be happy trying to tighten/replace it.

Put some insulation between the line and the front wall of the foot box and I think you should be good to go.
