Well, it has been almost 4 years and 7,500 miles and while there is always a few things left to do, I think for the most part I will call it done.
Would like to thank all of you on this forum for all the information and pictures which were a great help. And for all the guys that post all the wonderful mods and try to spend all our money I appreciate you as well. I came in a little over budget but I am happy with the car I set out to build.
Would also like to thank my buddy Greg (Takita) for all his physical help and technical guidance. When in doubt it was always very helpful to look at the finished product.
I think my signature pretty much spells out my build. It is a lot of fun to build but I think a lot more fun to drive.
Here are some fun photo's,

Looks great, congratulations! How long have you been on the road? Your FFR number is close to my Mk3.1 and I only seem to put on about 1000 miles a year. Guess I'd better get some pics of the Mk4 and make a graduation thread this year as well.
Cheers.
Bill
I am getting close to paint, the painter chose silver I wanted wembelton white but the silver price is less money , and also I love your paint , did you ever consider adding a white or grey or black stripes that is my next concern , this is a tough call for me and I was curious of your thoughts?
Very nice. I too love the silver with no stripe. How 'bout a look at your interior?
Bob

Very nice job. I went with a stripe on mine but really enjoy the solid look as well. I 2nd the motion for an interior shot.
Did you make any modifications?
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the kind words. It was a lot of fun to build. I have always liked the clean minimalist look of these cars, for me less is more. Before I started I had a picture in my mind of what it would look like. I have always admired the look of the Aston Martin Sean Connery drove as James Bond and that was somewhat of the look I wanted.
True story, I was picking up my son one sunny afternoon and an older gentelmen came up and asked what year my Aston Martin was.
Stroker, funny you should ask. If I was going to stripe it, the stripe would have to be lighter than the body color which could only really be white. Not sure how it would look but you would have to find the right white.
Bob, I will get an interior shot and post. Like the rest of the car it is very plain, with all the switches mounted under the dash.
Clemson, the paint is House of Kolor, Orion Silver, you can see it on their website.
C6ZZ, the only mods to the dash were a few plugged holes where switches were supposed to be. Only two buttons on the dash, one for horn (the cheap black one from FFR that blends in and is almost invisible) and a 35 amp Cole-Hersee Chrome start button.
And Bill, this is the third summer of driving but the first 2 years were in gel coat. So I guess about 2,500 a year.
Thanks again, Wade

Wade, it looks great! Always been a big fan of the silver, no stripe look.
Who did your body and paint, someone in N. Van? I dealt with a lot of body shops in the lower mainland, and not many of them would take on this type of work.
Still driving #6803 MK3.1 in gel-coat, but I'm tempted to finally get it painted, after looking at your car.
Silver with no stripes is my plan also. This is great inspiration! Strange how many like the look but still go in a different direction with stripes. I think the Mk4 showcar from FFR is a MacLaren silver...
All these pictures I have on file and nothing of the interior. I went out to the cave and took a couple of pics tonight. As you can see I have not finished the under door carpet and have not decided on a wheel center piece.
You can see that the only thing on the dash is the go button. I purposely put it in the middle. Whenever I give someone a ride, I push in the clutch and ask them to push this button for me and then watch the look on there face when she roars to life.
Bill, I did all the body work and had a local (North Shore) guy shoot the car. He has done about 4 or 5 now and does nice work. He doesn't mind working on these cars because he builds and repairs fibreglass boats mostly. Send me a pm if you want more info.
Thanks Sean.
