steering shaft cover

I have a MKII and need a steering shaft cover. I don't think FF sells them anymore. Does anyone have one they would like to sell or know a vendor that makes one. Thanks.

Are you talking about the fiberglass cover that attaches to the driver's footbox where the shaft exits? Or, are you looking for a steering shaft cover like what Sanford is suggesting?

If it is the former, probably your best bet is to put a "parts wanted" ad in the classifieds. My buddy got one that way from someone that had an extra. I am not aware of any vendor that sells them. Or, you could lay one up with some fiberglass cloth.

If it is the latter, I fabbed one up out of the donor steering shaft cover after I searched around and found several references to them here. Again, none available for sale that I could find. But, it was pretty easy to make.

ya, probably just the fiberglass cover that was supplied with the kit. I was going to do something different sealing it with rubber but hasn't worked out so well. Now, I don't know where my original cover went. thanks.
