I'm in the same boat as Blitz - in Houston TX, wishing Jeff were closer.
How would it work practically to ship the car to him for paint?
- Do you ship the whole car or just the body?
- If you ship the whole car I guess he just keeps it until he's done and then you ship it back?
- Would it be a good idea to go visit in between? At the start? At the end?
I understand it's different for everyone but I was looking to see if there were any best practices out there. Also Jeff if you have any comments on this it would be great!

Satisfied customer of: Factory Five Racing, Mike Forte, Breeze Automotive, Whitby Motors, Herb's Door Panels, Cobra Heat, Stewart Transport, Wayne Presley (Very Cool Parts), North Racecars, and Finish Line
Theres not a single shipping company I would trust with my freshly painted car by miller!
Don't let shipping be what stops you... I shipped my finished/painted FFR home (sorry, it was from da bat's friendly competitor to the north) from CA to TX, using our forum friends Stewart Transport. It arrived in perfect condition.
Unfortunately, I called Stewart Transport just two weeks ago about transporting another finished car (non-FFR), and they seem to pretty much be out of that business. They're all about delivering kits on their crane trucks, not finished vehicles. They offered to get me quotes from other shippers that they trusted, but I wound up transporting it myself instead.
Cheers, John

Jeff is the man YOU want to lay that gorgeous finish on your car.
You would ship him the whole car and he'll keep it till its finised. Jeff adds 20% if you bug him. Just kidding, but you should leave a master to his work.
Jeff where are you located I'm at the point now I'm looking for a painter.

Tempting, I've got some things I wanted to look at on the body but maybe I can just have you do the work.... (You'd do a better job then me anyway.)
I'll call you to discuss.

You did mean 2350 right? That would put me 22 miles from max, and I am in.
