T-5 mid shift conversion parts/kit

Gentlemen, after a 5 year delay I'm finally getting started on my coupe build, and I'm need of some info about swapping over to the S-10 tail housing. So far everyone I've contacted about the S-10 parts only wants to sell a complete tranny. Any info would be appreciated.

Send a private message to JJ'snakepit. I believe he has a parts list.

S10 Midshift

Here is basically what you need from the S10 not including the shifter and the tranny mount not shown. Some pictures and some links.

Quick question. Is the S10 tailshaft longer than the stock Mustang T5 tailshaft?

I believe they only use the housing from the S-10, the shaft is all the same. so no, same length

Indeed they are the same length. The shift rod in the picture (earlier) is shorter. JJ

Thanks for the response men, your input is appreciated. Since the tranny I have is in perfect condition I would prefer to accquire just the S-10 parts needed. So far the only contacts I've made are with folks who will not part out an S-10 trans regardless of condition.

Thanks
Bob
